Emergency formula is a good thing to have! I had an acute C-section, despite labor progressing nicely at first. That caused a lot of blood loss, and first couple weeks of breastfeeding almost were the end of me. I was clued to the baby and the sofa 24/7, he did not sleep because he was so ravenous. If my husband couldn’t have given a bottle per night of formula, I might have lost it. After the first month or so, breastfeeding became pretty effortless and still going strong 7 months later. ❤

Maybe 30% of what you buy for the baby will be used during the first year, but all the preparations and nesting is so so good for the connection to the baby and being a parent. And also being scared makes you more prepared! I wish you the absolute best ❤️
I have always wondered how it feels wanting to be a mom. I am 30 now and I am almost sure it is not my calling in this life to be a mom, but I see women that want it so bad. Hi Sissel, the room turned out great and I don't want to scare you but you might want to reconsider hanging picture frame above the crib. Maybe increase the space between crib and wall or consider swapping it with the soft stringy thingy on the opp wall or maybe make it extra secure so it won't fall. Again great work on Noa's room! All the little details are so good!
I also feel that the rug could be a tripping hazard... You might be so focused on putting him gently into his bed that you forget to step carefully onto the rug 😮

I love his nursery and his name Noa. The hanging light is actually perfect. It’s bright enough to check on him, change his nappy and breast feed him without harsh light. I am fostering a sibling group of 4, ages 9,4,2 and 2 months. We have had them since the baby was 3 days old. I use the nightlight on my cell phone to check on her and change her nappy at night. If it’s too bright she thinks it’s time to get up. Swaddling her has been the best thing ever. She sleeps longer since she can’t throw her arms and legs around and scare herself. She’s in her swing right now, giving me a break. I am 56 and being a “mommy” again to a newborn is exhausting.
Actually you can only see the head of the dragon with this light, the bed is on the other side of the room 🤣 also we won’t be changing him in his room 💚
I don't plan (plan as it try for) to have kids but I some how am really enjoying these videos and the journey you've had, I love how informative you are about everything and don't hold back on anything even if its a little tmi, I truly feel you're gonna help soooo many people with these videos and I'm super excited for baby boy to come along and learn with you through out all of this. As much as I don't plan to have any kids myself I have looked after my nieces many many times (still do but they're older now 3 and 5) but learning even back then how to mildly care for a baby even for a few hours a day was a lot and I wish I had these kind of videos back then. For postpartum, instead of huge pads.. I promise you'll want adult diapers instead. So much easier and less worry about leaking. Etc. But omg 😍 my babyboy was gonna be Noah Evan. But I was watching Divergent and fell in looove with the Tobias character. So I named him Landon Tobias. Looove Noa's nursery ❤

Pacifiers were something I bought that I think I would not use, but honestly it became a lifesaver. I bought the same Dr Brown ones as yours and my baby didnt like it. You can consider getting Friggs (Danish brand) They are so ergonomic for the baby and 2 month old loves it!

As much as I don't plan to have any kids myself I have looked after my nieces many many times (still do but they're older now 3 and 5) but learning even back then how to mildly care for a baby even for a few hours a day was a lot and I wish I had these kind of videos back then. For postpartum, instead of huge pads.. I promise you'll want adult diapers instead. So much easier and less worry about leaking. Etc.

Things have changed since mine were little, so we truly appreciated you posting your lists! I am proud to say hers is almost identical except the baby's bathtub has a built in thermometer and she was gifted a baby monitor (she lives in a 3 floor house so this is helpful). I am an over prepper and it makes me feel better to know we haven't seemed to forget anything. I hope everything goes super smooth for you!

Motherhood is not in my plans but I've enjoyed this series so much. I won't lie, I did tear up in a few of these videos (when you first found out you were pregnant, told Jake, when you found out his gender) and it just warms my heart to see you both so happy, so excited and everything you've prepared for baby Noa! Pacifiers were something I bought that I think I would not use, but honestly it became a lifesaver. I bought the same Dr Brown ones as yours and my baby didnt like it. You can consider getting Friggs (Danish brand) They are so ergonomic for the baby and 2 month old loves it!

I also grew up with a phonetic name that transfers easily in many languages and appreciate it. Best times ahead - you get to play with baby and all the new toys
