- BMW M has fitted a 'Drift Analyser' to the new M3 and M4, so in the interests of science (and categorically not an excuse to destroy a pair of tyres. Honest, sir) we sent Steve Sutcliffe back to school to see what the Analyser thought of his skids.

No manufacturer has a drifting lineage like BMW. Love it.

So the feature is basically keeping stats in ur drift but does not help u actually make a drift. Got itt thanks! I was wondering why they had that feature in the options tab.
Not putting much weight for carrying speed in a drift is great because an 80mph drift would be considerably more dangerous on a public road where most people will be using this system.
Something about the front-end design I really like, it somewhat reminds me of something from the 40's, very german.

It’s too heavy for most purposes.
The G80 doesn’t feel heavier than the F80 on the track and definitely a more nimble car overall.
most purposes? You mean like being a daily driver, sporty GT car, fun car on a backroad? Seems like weight would be relatively inconsequential for "most purposes" that people use this car for.

i've got the m3 , got the competition package, got the m performance driver pro package ..... now just learn to drift.
BMW charges you so much more for this mode, most of the owners will only try it once, together with the launch control...
Power Slide one thing .... Drift another thing. BMW should program for power slide. I think.
I know this is just a novelty app, but BMW should give more points to higher speed drifts as well as giving such high scores for drift angles

@@M5csbln so many choices would come before an M3. Ferrari 458, Porsche GT, Pagani Huyra, Acura NSX (contrary to common opinion, I love the new version), etc. I wouldn't even think of a new M3. I might settle for an E92 M3 with a stick shift.

I'm a big fan of BMW's M cars, but lately EVO has been doing a lot of videos with the new M5 and M3 and all of them are pretty positive. It's starting to look like they're just making ads for BMW.

I'm really starting to get bored of shows showing the provenance of cars on track, going sideways, etc. The format is becoming really tired.. It's great to see you do it, and have fun, but 98% of us never will or buy an M3 exclusively for it.
Plenty of people buy sports cars for the track... that's what they're made for. Would be such as waste not to especially in Europe and US where you have so many amazing tracks to enjoy them on.
They keep purposefully omitting the fact that the M3s in their videos are 'competition' models, because they know we want to see the stick shift. I just don't care about the auto. Piss off with that garbage. And call that pos what it is. Boooo!
Disappointed the last m3 don't look special enough, now I complete understand when ppl tell me be careful what you wish for.... XD

Over the years I saw new BMWs in magazines and almost always thought the model it replaced looked way better. Than I saw it on the streets and noticed it looks way better in real life than on photos or videos. A few days ago I saw the ne M3 and what can I say... It's even worse than I thought 😂
