  • I got a new keyboard! This was ordered from 8bitdo a few weeks ago and I'm really digging it so far. I wanted to share this unboxing with you to show what's inside and give you a chance so share in my joy and excitement of opening and enjoying that new plastic smell.
I have a lot yet to learn about its functionality, including the B and A buttons in the bottom right cluster but that will change once I read those directions.

Your friend Doug must be a really cool guy to recommend something like this.

Looks like a fun keyboard. I remember the first Nintendo and I think I still have it in storage. May have to get it out.

You still have your original NES?! Gotta blow hard on those old cartridges…

I have the Famicom one on the way because I waited too long to get the NES version. But I just might have to put in some OT at work and get both.

Yeah, it looks like they just sold all of their extras to Jeff Bezos so you can still grab one! I’m keeping mine after all as a birthday gift for myself.

I watched the guys at Tech Prime Media take theirs apart and it involves tearing the feet off and using a plastic pic to force the two pieces apart. Seemed like a pain and might hit compromise the board so I’m just not gonna do it. Luckily, I have other boards to dismantle and mod so I’m happy to just keep this one on the shelf and enjoy it that way most of the time.
Check these guys out if you want to see how they did it:

Is the typing experience as good as it sounds in the video??

The blue clickies are a lot of fun and it connects to my MacBook right away. I just transitioned to it now but I have to stop because it's too late and I don't want to disturb my family! I only really type on it during the day when I have the house to myself. But yes...it is a good typing experience.
