Wireless bridges with mikrotik are so fun. Have one right now to my garage. Have Google mesh wifi in home. Using a 951 in my garage. Did a "no default config", created bridge and added all interfaces to it. Enabled wireless and set to station pseudo-bridge and connected it to the Google Mesh wifi SSID. Setup a dhcp client on the bridge and boom, basically a wireless switch. LOL
I just use dhcp on my Google mesh wifi. Just hands addresses out to the mikrotik 951 as well as anything plugged into ports 1-5. Have 2 cameras and a Mikrotik wifi AP providing wifi for my garage. Saved me from buying a couple $100 nanobeams for a PtP Bridge.

Yeah that's an awesome use case for wireless bridges, and I definitely agree they are a lot of fun and easy to setup.

    Thank you so much,
One thing that has really bugged me with mikrotik, I was unable to pass mdns across vlans!

    Nice video, all are actualy
The only thing is that you sometimes go a bit fast explaining.
I'm rather new at Mikrotik routers and i love what you can do with them but to understand what the configurations you explain do it would be nice if you tell more about the effect it has or where it can be used for.
Keep up the good work but slow down a bit ;-)

Yes, I agree with that, I think for @TheNetworkBerg it all is so super logic and easy - but I think for beginners it would really be quite educational having some additional info on things. Of course, it's not a paid course or class, but still, I think it would be even more attractive and educational.

Thank you, but some schematic drawings would be nice about the system.

Nice video. Have you ever done a video on optimizing a wireless point to point link? The settings seem quite daunting..!!

Thanks so much. It was a great course! I loved every minute. I've been working on Mikrotik for a few years now but this filled in lots of the gaps. What is the process if we would like to write our MTCNA now?

Glad it was helpful! You will have to see which trainers in your area are offering training for certification. Unfortunately MikroTik still requires a trainer to write the exam in person with you. You can try to drill down to your country/area on mikrotik.com/training/ and look at the details of the trainers. Then you'll have to make contact with them to write the exam.

i've tried to use two access point mikrotik one in APBRIDGE MODE, the other in STATION BRIDGE MODE. if i create 2 vlan on the access point, one for management one for the wireless host, i've a problem, i can't ping the stagion bridge. is there a way to do this ? i mean i want a vlan for management on the AP , and i want to ping the STATION BRIDGE.
