- Wizards in Dark and Darker are powerful spellcasters, who use their knowledge of arcane magic to bend reality to their will. They can cast a wide variety of spells, ranging from destructive blasts of fire to complex arcane and frost spells. Wizards can also create magical barriers protecting themselves from harm. However, their powers come at a cost - wizards need to meditate and prepare their spells in advance, making them vulnerable to surprise attacks and ambushes.
Pros
Access to powerful spells that allow for a versatile play style.
High single and multi target magic damage output.
High movement speed and repositioning/ambush capabilities with Invisibility and Haste.
Can apply several powerful buffs to themselves or to teammates.
Cons
Very low physical damage and limited melee options.
Poor movement speed if not buffed. Movement speed is also lowered further during casting.
Lowest health in the game, with poor armor options.
Limited by the amount of available spell casts. Common restoration methods are Resting or Meditation, both of which leave the Wizard vulnerable and generate a lot of downtime.

why does everyone assume people know wwhat hit scan means. can someone actually explain what it is? people just keep saying that with no further detail
Sorry probably because a lot of them got a shooter game background like (call of duty,Halo..) So Hit scan is the opposite of a projectile weapon which mean it as no travel time for example fireball pretty slow projectile but Zap is instant and has no travel time so all you need to do is aim at your target!
What would you change now that invis and haste was nerfed and ice bolt was buffed?
At the moment haste is 8 second and Invis 4 second. But let’s say your playing in time haste is still good on teammates but I would replace for ice bolt and for invis it’s a must have for wizard because you are a glass canon!
Any updates to this guide since the recent wipe? Also where on gear priority would you rank +x all gear?
One thing is I never see padded legs at vendors, are they ultra rare?
Not rly rare but you cant buy multiple per restock anymore so you cant stock up on them.

Human or Elf! Problem with elf is you might get one shot by ranger!
Depends on build, orc for ignite, elf probably for caster, human for authentic wizard look and skeleton for drip.
