Friday we will be replaying the first game on stream! We're going to find all anomalies and secrets we missed the first time! Join us on Friday at 7PM CEST, 1PM EST, 10AM PST
Ooh, yes, I remember seeing "hint: there's a secret" and it taunted me because you never found what it was, and this game was such an excellent game to enjoy. Glad to see you'll be revisiting it again.
I have to disagree with your assessment at the end of the game, about the blatant changes vs the subtle changes. I think the game needs both, the really subtle ones force you to focus intently at the game, looking for the smallest differences, that way when the big one occurs it jumps out at you and catches you off-guard because you weren't necessarily expecting it in that moment.
I hope the develepor is going to make more games! I love this idea of noticing things that are out of place and it could be a cool concept added to phasmo, that over time things changes in the ghost room!
Insym in Phasmo: Can hear the most quiet noise, notice the slightest movement of object. Insym in IOD: Can't see something covering 1/3 of his screen. Even though I was screaming at my screen, I still love your vids.
I feel like the other two are more scary, but I can see why being in the house could give you the feeling you're in more imminent danger. I felt all the time you would turn around and something much more morbid would be waiting to jump scary you. The second one was on point with the corpse hanging in the hallway, and even grossed us a lot more with the two dudes getting some in the living room sofa. The monsters in this feel too derpy to be scary. Also this 1:20:31 had me rolling omg the massive chad in the bed all like "hey there pretty boy ;)"
You know what would be neat, if they combined this walking around the rooms with the cameras. Like have there be a camera room you stay in, like for example one of the many fnaf security guard locations, and then to actually report things you have to go in person and do something in that room. Use the camera room to find the anomaly, but have to go to the anomaly in person to fix it.
they could make it multiplayer; one player uses cameras and another one fixes the anomalies! Imagine the chaos when player 1 goes "dude i think this painting is weird can you fix it" only for player to to reply "IM FIGHTING OFF AN INTRUDER RIGHT NOW I THINK THE PAINTING CAN WAIT"
What annoys me is the random idiots in chat spamming the one thing that everyone else knows is wrong and makes him go check it, wasting time and missing stuff.
I swear some of these dudes must have been trolling, screaming at him saying stuff is wrong when he never went to the room to check so they couldn't have possibly known
Did you see the second video of the 2nd game? He did part of the secret and cancelled it while testing if that was possible. The painting still kept the "find me" text and so many people kept pointing it out when we already knew it was normal that the Mods had to make a command to send a message saying it was normal. It was said so many times they couldn't even use the command for all of them as it had a cooldown and that many people were pointing it out
I can’t be the only person who thought, for a split second, that the developer of Observation Duty was just pumping out these games one by one right? 🤣 (also thanks for hosting Andi, it was really fun :D)
I loved this series! I gotta be honest tho, this last game didn't keep me hooked as the other two. I guess there is something about the suspense of switching cameras and the possibility of the next camera having a weird or scary thing on it that kept me hooked on the other two and that was completely missed on the third one. Props for the dev for experimenting tho! It takes much more to try something different than it does to just do the same thing with a few extra stuff here and there. I hope he goes back to experimenting with the cameras next time tho, but maybe mix both perspectives? Like being able to walk around but also needing to check the cameras? Or maybe not, could end up too similar to Five Nights at Freddy's. Who knows!
For the ones asking for jumpscare moments,. its not that scary at all, but here are some highlights : 14:20 48:45 1:05:10 (little bit) 1:06:25 1:19:17 (little bit) 1:20:30 (lol) 1:36:55 1:50:03 (little bit) 2:00:32 (again) 2:06:05 (preview jump) I skipped some that i didn't feel like jumpy enough or happened before.
Y'know what would be amazing, if he added all of the I'm on Observation Duty 2 and 3 stuff to the first version, and just called it "I'm on Observation duty". More maps, and 2 gamemodes to play, freeroam, or camera mode.
This is really impressive work for a $2.00 game. I really enjoyed this version as much as the first game. I feel like they're actually equal in the sense of how enjoyable they both are to play and to watch as a viewer, but for different reasons. It's a welcome bit of variety. Would love to see what it would be like with some minor improvements, but honestly it's already really really good for the price, especially when you factor in how fun it is with chat. What a unique and fun stream experience. Thank you for playing it. :D
i’m on observation duty has always been a game like a phas-fnaf crossover, the first 2 we’re more fnaf, and this one was more phas because you actually walk around and take photos.
That TV video change is my favourite anomaly. The message is completely opposite "your family will be safe" to "your family will be consumed" and also "the observers are just the bait" with how crazy the lore seems to be I feel like the dark message might actually be the truthful one
This game is probably the scariest, things become automatically scarier when you actually walk around. Cameras are good for suspense but you know that you are safe, you are somewhere far away, that’s why FNaF worked so much I think, the cameras helped build the suspense but you were still in the building
1:15:28 One nice anomaly addition might have been someone sitting in the chair in front of the desk. Maybe with some scribbly noises and paper crumpling noises for the atmosphere. And the longer the anomaly is present, the more rejected and crumbled notes can be seen on the floor? Ideally with some game lore implications.
I feel like it's harder to get scared in this one than in the previous two because before, major anomalies are extremely visible as because they suddenly appear as you change cameras, but in this you can kind of see them in advance as you walk closer to take a picture.
That chess one is so cool, you see that the pieces have moved and that lets you take a pic of the lad playing on the chair that you can only see in the phome
I’ve been thinking about this game all day, what a blessing to come home from a 12hr shift to this CHUNK of a video!!! Can’t wait to hunker down and watch it all ❤️
that straight up scared me, insym is the anomaly.. i was rewatching these and I opened the lid of my water right as insym said "What was that?" I nearly shat myself like "How the hell did he know I even did something?"
Commented this on the last video but the best part of these are 30 people from chat screaming apple painting while you are staring at it and still have no idea where it's at haha. Probably the best horror/spooky game content creator.
Oh my godness, it's getting much creepier, but it's amazing Insym! Interesting game that I want to watch and maybe play by myself, thank you for a great video again
I feel as if, the game dev wanted to release multiple copies/versions of the game, to show the graphical side, the more in depth (this video), harder side of the game. And, to show different styles of how a game can be made. There's a lot of perspectives that you could potentially see in this. However, this is just what I see.
Nice. I was even thinking while watching you play the second game, that it would be neat to have a 3D version where you take photos of the abnormalities. Low and behold!
Really interesting change. Idk tho, have to agree that tv/cctv thingy was scarier and more intuitive. I like how in this game it seems exponential, like it goes from small/nothing to a lot real quick.
I feel like maybe a false report spawns another anomaly. xD That would be cool to even add though, maybe a Professional Difficulty. That way it would make reporting more risky forcing you to require even more attention to detail.
hey Insym! If you are looking for any game recommendations I would recommend Nun Massacre or Murder house; both are great puppet combo games! Thanks and keep up the great work :)
This game reminds me of how in the movie It there are subtle changes in the background. I really like this game because it feels like that, especially considering you're the size of a kid
This version is exponentially more difficult than the first 2. I agree that it feels like we're walking among unity assets. It could benefit from better modelling and rendering to make a more immersive experience. Hopefully in near future, this game is such a joy to watch.
I think the mundane changes are good and add to the gameplay, like I don't agree that they should *all* be scary. I think what made the first game scary was the fact you'd be so intensely looking for mundane changes like moved objects, that when the really weird stuff did happen it was jarring and a good scare. Like you'd be so focused on seeing if the guitar had moved that suddenly spotting a man in the corner of the screen was a good surprise. The trouble with the second map was there was just *too much* stuff, and all the drawers did feel like bullshit if stuff can actually change inside them all too. If it just kept with big changes like chairs, paintings, and maybe like "everything on the desk vanished" rather than "oh a pencil moved". What could maybe help is if an anomaly hadn't been spotted in a while, it starts becoming more obvious, maybe by shaking or making a noise, so you still have to find it, but it sticks out a little more.
I'm having a blast with this but I can only watch it in short bursts because speedysym camera gives me motion sickness ^.^;; That said, Timothy's desk raises so many questions
*Insym died and is in Heaven* Random Angel Fan: YO I loved your videos man, howd you die?! Insym: Bananas... Angel: Bananas? Insym: Yes. One too many Bananas...
First thing I thought when I saw this game had first person freeroam was.. What's gonna happen when Doctor Fappyman spots ya..? Is he gonna chase ya through the house with his yeehaw dangling violently around? Now THAT would be truly terrifying
I kinda feel like it should balance the penalties based on how subtle the change is, and instead of insta-death on loss, just an apparition or attack of a sort to try to kill the player instead happens where the only way to stop it is to go back to the safe levels of existing anomalies.
I personally think a balance between subtle and obvious scary stuff is better than just spooky stuff, although in this game there is just too much stuff for one person to deal with if you don't know the layout super well. Subtle stuff makes you need to focus more, which makes the scary events more in your face and unexpected, making it more spooky. If it was only spooky stuff it would be a scarier Where's Waldo.
Found it ironic Insym could call ppl out on the paper towel roll knob not being an orange, when he couldn’t get the name right lmao Toilet kitchen roll? LOL
i liked camera type 1 game or second game you just looking closely and someone there and i get spooked or chills.. this one is fun but so much stereotypical.
On the second map: Time in game: 0:50 Insym: We got this 2 seconds later, the phone says: THERE ARE TOO MANY ANAMALIES FIND THEM AND REPORT THEM NOW OR YOU DIE!!! Insym: Ok maybe we dont got this… Me: ALREADY! Its only 0:50 int he game like wth?!?!
its so easy! take a photo of a big area or a big room, a big photo of the entire room, and then try to fix anomalies, you did a photo of a lot of things probablly, so you gotta fix a lot of posibly anomalies
This is the first time I’ve heard someone compare something to fnaf without just saying “ohh well it has animatronics so it’s like fnaf” i think if it is a horror killer animatronic movie it doesn’t mean it’s completely like fnaf end rant

Thank you! I feel so sad it came to a end but now I’m more excited
you gave me a stroke
Yees i love that game
are you also going to try and get the secret from game 2? thanks!
Chat: girl in painting!
Insym: *sees 4 paintings with girls in them* ok look chat, you're going to have to be a bit more specific-
Me if I was there: ALL OF THEM
Wedding painting woman sad this anomaly 8:38
Imagine Chad from first game suddenly standing in THIS kitchen!
heck yea
He would give you a knuckle sandwich
or those two people having fun in the living room from the second game
@@casperveneman1151 oh no
I miss the blep ghost from the thumbnail XD
You know how in phasmo, the opening to a hunt the truck speaker says that a team tried to investigate but left in a hurry. This is that team.
That the cww12.97x team, they investigate for like 40 seconds then leave in a hurry LMAO

I think the game needs both, the really subtle ones force you to focus intently at the game, looking for the smallest differences, that way when the big one occurs it jumps out at you and catches you off-guard because you weren't necessarily expecting it in that moment.
More than not expecting, the subtle ones force you to focus intently on the game, to SET UP the jumpscares on the big ones.
Yeah, that's the entire point of the game. Wouldn't be a very good "spot the difference" game if everything was super obvious.
I hope the develepor is going to make more games! I love this idea of noticing things that are out of place and it could be a cool concept added to phasmo, that over time things changes in the ghost room!
Or even make it a 7th evidence, "object manipulation" oh the possibilities lol
@@adamsmith2157 That would be really cool too!
And then just 'things going apeshit' option.
There is a fourth one now
When you said "I'm really tiny" all I could think of were the HUGE bottles from game 2 lol.
I was thinking of the big ass chairs in 2’s kitchen
This whole game series in a nutshell:
“Why are the paintings already creepy?”
“Was it like this before?”
“Am I going insane?”
“Wait…”
Answer to the third question: no you went insane soon as it started so you can't go insane
Insym in Phasmo: Can hear the most quiet noise, notice the slightest movement of object.
Insym in IOD: Can't see something covering 1/3 of his screen.
Even though I was screaming at my screen, I still love your vids.
Chat : "THE ANOMALY ITS THERE ARE U BLIND HEY"

What annoys me is the random idiots in chat spamming the one thing that everyone else knows is wrong and makes him go check it, wasting time and missing stuff.
I swear some of these dudes must have been trolling, screaming at him saying stuff is wrong when he never went to the room to check so they couldn't have possibly known

That’s not true, you managed to do pretty well even with some help lmao
Hey that waterfall painting at 1:28:15 is a real waterfall! It's Multnomah Falls in Oregon, I live like 45 minutes away from it.
It's gonna be creepy if the game has an AR mode (mobile app) and your own house is the subject.
Oh fuck... now that's a goldmine. Brilliant idea.
Become a game developer please lol
if i see an intruder in my house i will shiet my house
I think that it's would be pretty hard to make anomalies in AR in your house
