I 1st started in2013 but didn't really started posting videos till 8 months ago. Then I stopped as I was struggling with my niche. However I resumed posting less than 2 weeks ago with 59 subscribers. I'm now over 900 subscribers and very happy.
I've been posting original song videos for about 9 months. Tough niche for sure. I do not expect to ever have one go viral. I love getting the songs out of my head into the World. And the few people that have contacted me stating they were moved by one of my songs really is a great feeling. Your videos are doing well. Best of luck to you.

I'm 5 months into my journey. I am approacing it as a ministry with the possibility of creating (a little) retirement income. My advice to you is to stay encouraged. I was so exited after my 1st month when I went from 12 views to over 50 views. The next month when one of my videos received 100+ videos, I felt like it was "viral". Every month it seems like it is picking up exponentially. I publish both shorts and long videos regularly. And I receive a few new subscribers every day. That is encouraging. I expect to have reached my 1000 subscribers and 4000 hours by New Year. My New. So far all of my videos have been faceless. My New Year project is to start a daily "Face" video, starting Jan 1, with a 365 daily read-along-wtih-me through the Bible from Genesis to Revelation. I am keeping you in prayer. Stay motivated. Stay encouraged. and Stay prayerful. You've got a calling on your life.

I am also a small youtubers. I almost give up youtubing. It was frustrating when youtube takes away your watch hour and subscriber once in while. I don't know the reason why. So I started doing silent Livestream. It will run for 6 to 8 hours. sometimes 10 hours. thankfully, YT is very generous giving me watch hour. I turned on the silent LS before I go to sleep. So it will run while I am sleeping. Now, I am already monetized just recently but I haven't received my first pay check yet . I am beginning to see my revenue. It's not a lot but I am happy with it. Hard work pays off. Good luck to everybody.

All good stuff! One of the things I’m finding with my channel is that as I make videos, I learn new stuff about how to make my videos better. Like, I’m 20ish videos in, and I’m still learning stuff about how to make my thumbnails better, about how to keep my audio from having an echo. You may find the same with your channel and your videos too!

Hello, I am going to try a few shorts just started my channel 2 weeks ago traffic is little to none right now so I am working on other alternative ways to get traffic to my channel without following the trends. My primary goal is to attract people who are genuinely interested in my content so patience & posting is virtue.

Consistancy is mostly translated into how regular you release a video. As you said, RUclips favors quality videos. Those two things can bite eachother. A quality video can take more time and prevent us from releasing videos every week at a set time. I had to make the decision early on which version of consistancy I went with. I chose the quality route. Ofcourse all depends on the content and topics you talk about. On average, my videos take 25 hours to make, from idea to release. I only release a video when I am happy with it. Be that once a week or once every 2 weeks. Don't make content for the algorythm, make content because you have something to say, give, share. Don't waste viewers' time because we think we should make a video. Thanks for the video! Love your presentation!

Well the lovely thing about being a content creator and building up your channel, is all about experimenting. Trying some thing out from the ideas to the editing, to the overall style of how you present yourself in your videos! See what will work, and what won't. But sometimes it's also best to learn from personal experience and keep on racing. 🏁

Those who start a channel to get rich and famous will achieve neither. Those motivated by passion and FUN, are far more likely to get there. I always kept my head down, and put out content, ignoring everything else. It takes unwavering belief in yourself while simultaneously blocking out the back ground noise. You can do it!

I'm 5 months into my journey. I am approacing it as a ministry with the possibility of creating (a little) retirement income. My advice to you is to stay encouraged. I was so exited after my 1st month when I went from 12 views to over 50 views. The next month when one of my videos received 100+ videos, I felt like it was "viral". Every month it seems like it is picking up exponentially. I publish both shorts and long videos regularly. And I receive a few new subscribers every day. That is encouraging. I expect to have reached my 1000 subscribers and 4000 hours by New Year. My New. So far all of my videos have been faceless. My New Year project is to start a daily "Face" video, starting Jan 1, with a 365 daily read-along-wtih-me through the Bible from Genesis to Revelation. I am keeping you in prayer. Stay motivated. Stay encouraged. and Stay prayerful. You've got a calling on your life.

I am also a small youtubers. I almost give up youtubing. It was frustrating when youtube takes away your watch hour and subscriber once in while. I don't know the reason why. So I started doing silent Livestream. It will run for 6 to 8 hours. sometimes 10 hours. thankfully, YT is very generous giving me watch hour. I turned on the silent LS before I go to sleep. So it will run while I am sleeping. Now, I am already monetized just recently but I haven't received my first pay check yet . I am beginning to see my revenue. It's not a lot but I am happy with it. Hard work pays off. Good luck to everybody.

All good stuff! One of the things I’m finding with my channel is that as I make videos, I learn new stuff about how to make my videos better. Like, I’m 20ish videos in, and I’m still learning stuff about how to make my thumbnails better, about how to keep my audio from having an echo. You may find the same with your channel and your videos too!

Hello, I am going to try a few shorts just started my channel 2 weeks ago traffic is little to none right now so I am working on other alternative ways to get traffic to my channel without following the trends. My primary goal is to attract people who are genuinely interested in my content so patience & posting is virtue.

Consistancy is mostly translated into how regular you release a video. As you said, RUclips favors quality videos. Those two things can bite eachother. A quality video can take more time and prevent us from releasing videos every week at a set time. I had to make the decision early on which version of consistancy I went with. I chose the quality route. Ofcourse all depends on the content and topics you talk about. On average, my videos take 25 hours to make, from idea to release. I only release a video when I am happy with it. Be that once a week or once every 2 weeks. Don't make content for the algorythm, make content because you have something to say, give, share. Don't waste viewers' time because we think we should make a video.

I've been thinking about this a lot - creating what's in your heart or creating based on the analytics. Each can lead you to a different direction. I'm happy to hear you mention by business brain! I didn't think I was overtly presenting my content from a business perspective, but I guess it comes through as I'm analyzing and when I think of content aiming for a particular outcome. My background is in business so I'm amused you noticed that coming through. 😀 What else would be helpful to understand so far? I've been taking notes of the things I notice haha
