Jason Newsted- Master Vol: 0
Ugh lol Harsh.
Lame!
@@rafaelgonzalez7230an't blame newsted, Lars was the one who dropped his bass volume and raised his drums... pretty sure
@@D4nt3101 wasn’t blaming him and ik any real metal fan should know that or at least a true Metallica fan
😢 Man, they did him dirty.
Lemmy puttin the Bass to 0 😮 that’s a ballsy move
he also played bass through a guitar amp i am pretty sure
He puts bass at 0 and gain at 1 million
@@mikeoxlong4588it was a marshall super bass bro
@graboomdoa ohhhh all I knew is he had a 4x15 cab and some sort of marshall
Yep, the “Murder One” Marshall amp.
(Bass and Treble at 0, Mids and volume: MAX)
Need a part two. This was good
Personally I'm a fan of Geezer and Lemmy's, but John Paul Jones's is smooth as butter.
Goodnight tonight is a super underrated bass line
I was playing that Stranglers bassline when my dad told me that JJ Burnel lives in the same random town as me. Small world
lemmys got the most recognizable bass tone ever dude
Shout out for the JJ Burnel nod. He's a virtuoso Brit bassist and then some.
That amp is great: very flexible!
You should do ones for Chris Wolstenholme (Muse) and Mike Kerr (Royal Blood).
Also, I would love to see how Mike Dirnt (Green Day) achieves his trademark sound, but I'm sure his technique is not nearly as interesting as the first two I mentioned.
fuck royal blood. all you need for that is a tonne of overdrive, octave fuzz and a bunch of arrogance.
I love how you played “Goodnight Tonight” by Wings, such a great song!! 😁👍
Some of these were shocking...
more vids like this would be sick.
I like how when you got to Lemmy you played in the key of Eb resembling the fact he tuned a half step down even though you're in E standard, nice detail
Lemmy was so rock n roll, it's amazing
How dare you pop into my recomended section with quality content every time?
Paul's tone on a Jazz Bass is SO GOOD it should be a CRIME
B E H S
I would love to see Les Claypool in this
Danny, you are CHAMPION, mate!
Now Twiggy Ramirez’s bass tone in 30 seconds!
Nothing can beat JJ Burnels amp settings
Huh, I didn’t realize Mike Myers played bass
Do you turn off the bridge pickup?
That JJ Burnel sound was awesome! Took me right back to the 70s!
More of this please!
Wyman and Entwistle, please!
Dude PLEASE do Jo Bench of Bolt Thrower!
What about you?? You're a famous bass player now. What are your settings? Also oiled up video soon?
If there's another part you should put Peter Steele from Type O Negative In the video
Can you do John Deacon?
Very nice, you should do geddy lees bass settings though, id say hes one of the greatest bassists of all time
That intro to 'Peaches' will always be a massive standout.
Ooooooo! I felt that JPJ setting in my soul!
Ramble On is such a bad ass bass line.
I love Motorhead and you can never go wrong with Lemmy.
Dude you need to put Cliff in this cause thousands of bass players are trying to figure out his settings
i found kill em all’s tone by accident, put bass on 10, treble on 10, mids set to 4 maybe even 3 and then I had a very similar sounding tone to kill em all
You really need a fuzz wah pedal to get his true sound
Pretty hard to nail without studio gear, his tone is all about bus processing. (Can't wait to meet him when I go to hell for that).
well first of all he didn’t use a fucking aguilar th.
Good work. Thank you & keep it up.
Great video. I suggest you highlight how differently your left hand plays too. Also it sounds to me like there's some compression in the original recordings. I practice (as with slap) in a live band you'd probably need that to play these styles nicely in the mix.
Danny sapko behs!
I've never heard or played an Aguilar that i liked. The mids always sound scooped no matter what.
Justin Chancellor and Mike Starr
Thanks for teaching me how to get different tones out of my Tone Hammer. I always plug my Sans Amp into the fx return to bypass it's preamp. Sounds great!
Pretty sweet! Surprised how much overdrive was coming from the geezer setting
>Testing famous bassist settings
>On the same amp
Thats cursed as fuck
The minutiae of rigs can be broken down for sure, but if we go that deep then the variance in pot trims ALONE kills it - amps have different pots, pot makers, and pot sweeps for every control... Even two of the same models can have different sounds with everything at noon given the batch of pots being used.
This seems like just a quick and dirty comparison for fun.
@@DweedleDeeDweedleDoo idk if you know enough about just how different amp EQ's can be to be talking to that just like a smart-arse
@@TacticalHyena why the hostility?
@@DweedleDeeDweedleDoo cuz you said something really stupid, supporting someone who did something really stupid -that doesnt make sense if you know what you're talking about- and i found that really annoying
@@TacticalHyena alright dude, have a good day
Do part two but include cliff burton’s amp settings
I like cliff Williams bass tone
Woah this is the best one I've ever seen, good fucking job Sam, this is a family of monsters.
This convinced me even more to sell my guitar and buy a bass🔥
Join the dark side, my friend
Why don’t you just buy a bass without getting rid of your guitar? Duh
Keep both!
dont sell your guitar just save up some money and you wont need to sell your guitar
Felix Pappalardi is overlooked
Oh boy, how I would love to see and hearbthe settings of Aston Familyman Barrett 😊
I got the Lemmy sound with a mini marshall guitar amp. Sounds lovely
Geezzer Butler the best 🔥
Yeah, he nailed that one.
@@freddiesoverbite6162 you ever heard sabbath before? that was totally wrong
it really didn't sound anything like the Paranoid album.
Lemmy 😊
You got some of these absolutely accurate! The only ones you didn’t were the players i dont care to listen to 😛
Goodnight Tonight has a great bassline
Can you do khrist noveselic from nirvana?

Attempt #12 trying to get Mark Hoppus behs tone
Johnny rotten- LSD

Dude, The Stranglers are bad ass...

For lemmy you need to use a guitar amp
John Paul Jones when
What kind of pedal did you use?
NO JOHN ENTWISTLE?
Yes a Beatles
Where can you find this info?
Curious what Mike Watt fro Minutemen uses. He has possible the best full round punk Bass sound.
What was the McCartney song you played ?
This guy reminds me of Charlie from last day 13
Behs settings aye
Day 3 of asking for Peter hooks bass tone
What gauge should I use for Master of Reality/C# tuning riffs?
Paranoid really
Now do Clay Gober!
Anyone else here seen Lemmy or Paul McCartney play live?🙋
What's that Motorhead song?
Bob daisly bass tone (Blizzard of Ozz)
Which Paul McCartney bassline is that?
What beatles song was that?
do one for krist novaselic
How do u get that "clank" sound to pop out??? Im struggling to do it w any bass i've used, cheap or expensive, so i know thats just a skill issue, can anyone help???
Do john myung from dream theater
Geezer have the best bass tone
Have you tried getting Clay Gober (I think that's his name) from polyphia's bass tone
I want to learn how to play bass guitar, I know a am a wee bit late with that (23 yrs old) but fuck it.
I will get the instrument this december (hand me down from my dad) and I am checking out different styles in the mean time.
Lemmy is obviously God but I massively enjoyed JJ Burnel's one
do a krist from nirvana one
I thought lemmy just cranked his cabinet to max and got his overdrive that way
Queen?!?!
What are the name of all the songs?
I know my question is stupid but is it possible to turn electric guitar to a behs?
what is that geezer butler one based on? The songs have so much more bass than what you are playing.
What's the name of the Motörhead song?
what beatles song is that
Now Chris Wolsthenholme:)
