That's quite a few ups and downs. How to Become the Dark Lord sounds so interesting, but I don't like slapstick humour and really dislike unrealistic characters, so thanks for pointing that out. Withholding info and unbelievablity are some of my thriller pet peeves so Local Woman Missing is off the list, too! I'm glad you enjoyed Malice. It wasn't my thing, but everybody else seems to love it. I hope July and August provide some great reads for you. Other than books I've mentioned in other videos, the most pleasant surprise was The Song of Achilles and the biggest disappointment was The Only One Left by Riley Sager (too many unbelievable things happened).

I have heard so many people who loved Ashes of the Sun by Django Wexler be so excited about the Dark Lord book, and then DNF or detest it. I have it on my library list, but I'm in no rush to try it now. The things pointed out are definitely things I don't like.

I do not care about any if them, even Edna 😔 Im going a dufferent route, the Ashes & the Star Cursed King. Book 2 🤞 was gufted this by my neighbor for letting her dog out at noon 😊 my husband must have had a part in this caper. 🤗 Thanks for the reviews 🌺
