The only routine with a touch of artistry. I remember her as a junior, with those fire eyes, now she doesn't look anywhere, just the apparatus, she really looks too scared to make mistakes.
The music is ok but I actually hate this type of “choreography” with the shoulder shimmying, etc. Reminds me of Kabaeva at her worst. I hope they don’t waste Lala trying to make her a Kabaeva 2.0 (Lala has more potential in the pointed toes of her left foot than Kabaeva ever had). But they must insist, let them go for the Kabaeva clubs 2001 style, which was a nicer folk style but without the cringe. Except for a junior clubs routine I remember, I actually don’t mind her ribbon choreography this year, but only because it’s not annoyingly distracting. Otherwise I just don’t get why they don’t get Karpushenko to advice on the choreography of all the Russians (regardless of their day-to-day coaches). Nonsense waste.
They think it’s a Kabaeva-like charming style - cringe radar seemingly escaping them. And from what I’ve heard, they actually get singers to do the vocals ON TOP of the source tracks (compare it to Belarus 5 ropes 2008 to see the tasteful counter example). Way worse than this, though, is whenever they try to go “contemporary” or “pop”... holly hell, if they are not named Vladinova, Pazhava or a Halkina (and maybe the Older Spain group), the FIG should actually penalize music choices.

Музыка пошлый кошмар
I really miss 2018 Lala. She seems to lack that spunk and confidence she once had.
Lala kramarenko 2018 ribbon in Guadalajara was 🔥 😎 👌

No había una música más horrible?
