Counting down the days
Watching this video reminded me of my return trip from Denmark to Singapore. The longer I was in Singapore, there more I felt at home. I didn’t miss Denmark one bit and next year I’m going to Singapore once again. It was my first time with Singapore Airlines and I was impressed with the catering, service, entertainment system and the plane is also a A350. My mother and I had our first time on a nonstop flight. I look forward to visit my huge family again and I miss Singapore. 😎

3:47 I love how all Singapore Airlines' planes have bright red paint at the tip of the pods attached beneath each wing. It mimics their female cabin crew with red-painted nails! I am loving this simple yet distinctive signature look!

This is my most favourite A350 airline!
As a local, that "Welcome home" gets me every single time.
Good job. BTW, 9V-SHQ is the vessels International Call Sign. All Singapore registered ships carry the same 9V prefix as well.
A350 is my most favorite aircraft of this Airline. I flew from Singapore to Mumbai on 18 Jun 2023, SQ 422!

Nicely done! Also on the A350 there’s a row at the very back in Economy with two seats across and it’s relatively secluded from the lavatories. I recommend it to everyone travelling in a pair and don’t want to fork out $100 for it. You can also recline 100% without worrying about people behind you.

Very good review. I flew the 9V-SHQ (A350) from Guangzhou to Singapore in late October. The flight entertainment was good - it was responsive and is not cluttered. The in flight path show was excellent - they display innovative features including the tail registration number, flight number, bearing, date of flight, latitude and longitude. As well, you can zoom into nearest cities (you can check out population, elevation, time and distance from flight). In addition to this you can watch movies or listen to music simultaneously whilst watching the flight map. The t touchscreen was very interactive.
Downs: unfortunately there is no live tv, no live news.
Fun fact: the SQ Medium Haul A350’s entertainment was under Thales, while the SQ Long Haul and ULR A359 have the Panasonic EX3
Thanks for commenting mate! Yes, actually I did notice this, definitely one of the best in the industry. Unfortunately my onward flight to Colombo was also on the same model so I wasn’t able to review the differences.
Hopefully in the future I’ll be able to check out the longer products.

Hey mate nice video, 100% put the seat number and even the alternate configuration seat number (48k when theres premium economy) in the description /tags. I've been searching for any video review on this seat for months, and only found yours because searching flights from Australia. Side question where you able to get out through the front of your seat during the flight or did you have to get your row to get up?

You’re definitely able to get out through the front seat but be mindful that you don’t bump your head on the right hand storage.

Informative video, though I find Singapore regional flights economy and business class catering; not on a par with Cathay
TG , MH, QF etc all served pre-landing snack for 6-7 hours flight but SQ only one meal. Notice that there are no starter (salad) & dessert (cake) anymore, not a decent meal served by SQ nowadays.
Hello! Thanks for your comment. As you can see in the video, a pre landing snack was served. However, SIA has dropped the pre landing snack on overnight flights to/from Aus in replacement of snacks on demand. Re desert: ice cream was served straight after the meal. Yes there was no starter unfortunately. I was satisfied with the overall meal! Can’t comment about TG, MH and QF as I’m yet to fly them.

Indeed. As some of our readers complained about SIA's catering service to Sydney I took up the matter with SIA. I was told that SIA classifies Australia as a regional destination. I can understand that with Perth but SIN-SYD flight distance is greater than LON-NYC which is considered long-haul !

@@demiphillips9770 there is a self service bar at the back + the crew will actively offer it to you if they notice you’re awake. But the customers are made aware of it primarily through the onboard menu which is accessible online. Hope this helps
I agree the service in Y on SQ has been downgraded. No salt & pepper, no hot towels, no fresh fruit,no proper desserts just frozen ice creams, minimal vegetables, paper cups. Pre pandemic amenity kits were on every seat in Y on night flights, inc. socks. Now, just the toothbrush in the WC. Not the Y service I knew & loved for many many years. 😢

Qatar or Singapore. Australia to Europe?
Hi Haven’t flown Qatar Airways so I’m unable to advise you specifically on your carrier of choice, but it would largely be up to your personal preference as both airlines are excellent carriers with a 5 star rating.
varies on where your final destination is.I would say Qatar if it means not having to back track.
I've flown Business Class several time with Singapore Airlines: JFK non stop to SIN onwards to SYD. Qatar Qsuite by far is the best. Doha Airport/lounge (s) out of this world. You must experience Qatar Qsuite and they're cheaper than Singapore Airlines.

I think is sad when a flight attendant is already seated and belt fastened 35min before landing. Hope Singapore Airlines bosses dont see this.
Hi Peter, the Fa was seated because of severe turbulence on the flight as we got closer to Singapore. It just coincidentally aligned with the landing announcement.
