I think a lot of people in the US don't know about welltool. I love my wetools light. I own modlight, surefire, arisaka, cloud defensive for reference. And the welltool feels as well made as any of them and they are very rugged.
And they’re out performing them as well.
The reason the SF has much fewer lumens is because the SF is definitely not pulling as many amps. Its a smaller emitter which has the advantage of making high candela with less current and therefore less battery. The Surefire is actually best-in-class here. There aren't many lights on the market that can make a sustained 90k+ candela on an 18350. Just because the Weltool turns on with an 18350 doesn't mean its producing rated output. 2000+ lumens with current emitter technology is pushing the limits of even an 18650. The 21700 is likely needed for full, regulated output. Lots of companies are just lying about specs too. Weltool is legit, but others who claim crazy specs with 18350's are just lying. Even Cloud has been known to fudge the numbers pretty hard. Nobody is making 100k candela without either a very small emitter (lower-lumen, i.e. Surefire) or, on the opposite end of the spectrum, a very high lumen output (brute-force) requiring huge amounts of current, big battery, etc.
Thing i have learned is high candela is much better than high lumens, 1000 lumens is the maximum i need with high candela
One thing you got a bit wrong is that Weltool’s weapon light heads are compatible with the Surefire and Modlite ecosystem and can also be configured as handhelds but the Weltool T1, T2, T8, T12 aren’t compatible.
The 18350 body looks perfect! Where can one purchase the tactical ring you have on it?

The website branding on the tail cap is horrendous. Absolute deal breaker for me. Having that in your pocket makes you a walking billboard for Weltool... the cheek of them!
lower lumens = less heat , the surefire will probably run until the battery drains without a step down but the weltool will most likely stepdown , weltool LH1 head fite on the surefire EDC2 body and vice versa.
3 mins stepdown from 2180 and then it still sustains 1000 lumens for the life of the battery. Extremely good performance
I have been looking at the T2 TAC but I am not a fan of the clip. It does not say it can use a Thyrm so could you run the T8 Plus TAC head with the T17 18650 body?
They do make a 18650 body specifically yes and with the right tail cap you can use a switchback

If you’re using it on a t8 head and 18350 body you’ll need to shorten the clip a little. Easy with a dremel

How warm does the light get? How long until you can't hold the light because of heat?
It dissipates heat well, there is cooling channels through the head
I just ran it on high for over 5 and a half minutes; it was warm but I could still hold it

I have the utility non tac version of this light. @ 600 lm it barely gets warm. It sustains 1,000 lm until the battery drains and while it gets hot there is no problem holding it. Turbo lasts 3min and it is hot but still holdable by the time it steps down to 1,000 lm.
the T17 and T19 heads are even potted, at damn near half the price of surefire and the others they are not only outperforming but they out building the american brands
That GoodBean backup light is just a convoy S6. Instead of paying $100, just get the convoy for like $20. Shameful company honestly

The Goonbeam is a chinese knock off. He buys the lights off alibaba and then engraves his own logo. Also, not very rugged.
