- It's my first time cruising with Princess since 2018. A LOT of things have changed. This is John's first time EVER cruising with them. What do we think about the medallion class ships? Are they worthwhile? Is all the negative hype real? Should millennials listen to the feedback from computer illiterate elders? .... Things are changing fast so I need to get this video out before it's completely irrelevant. Filmed in Dec 2022, prior to the new implementation of fees, which I humbly predicted in this video.
The Premier Package also includes 2 specialty dinners, unlimited photos, wifi, gratuities, the drink package, reserved seating in the shows, and more. It's so worth the extra money!

Our next Princess cruise is in November on the Discovery. Anyhow, tried to make reservations for specialty dining and the earliest they could give me was 7:30 p.m. Well, that's not good. So, we will try the old-fashioned way of calling the day of and see if anyone cancelled their dinner reservations. This cruise you are on looks like it was in December 2022. Things have definitely changed even since then. We were on the Royal back when they started to implement the Medallion in 2019. At the time of boarding, we were given both the card and the medallion. We were part of the beta group testing it out. All it did was open the door to your cabin. Thanks for sharing!

Fantastic talk! Nice to hear input from John given his professional background. He's a keeper if he treats you like a princess! Your embrace of Princess Cruise Line also means you're growing up LOL! Disney Cruise Line is still my favourite no matter how old I get! Don and Tony who? More like who cares. Maybe Don should stop offering paper and pen gifts to his group cruisers and embrace technology too. The specialty dining rooms should be expanded. Is the MDR on Princess as bad as MSC these days?
I'm so glad You came to Texas. I was just thinking last night about the short time I was on Twitter (new to Me then) in 2019 before they suspended Me. TBF: I h ave always lived on the edge. And rarely filter Mt true feelings, I think that's important in life. Miss a few things sure...... have regerts, not so much! I started another account last May and You're snarkiness (previously commented on) is quite in line with the way I see it. Anyway, glad to find Your channel finally. Your choices agree with You. Glad You're here. I know there are no cruises to Austin but, I hope You two will come up anyway. I will have to continue My landlocked existence until at least 2025, relative to business goals. 2 Princess cruises booked and many past Princess cruises in the books. Love the Princess style. We've embraced the Medallion and the app. It's really not that difficult once you get the hang of it. I carry cash in case I want to tip.
2nd point. On my last cruise, there were two instances where we were seated in a row of 2-tops really close to each other. The first time, nobody talked to their neighbors. The second time, the couple next to us initiated conversation by greeting us the second we sat down, but conversation was between courses.
I'm a quiet person, so I would strategically eat early or late to minimize the probability of encountering those who have "ants in their pants" and feel the need to turn dinner into a communal experience with dinner-time conversation.
Conclusion: It depends on your age, and the age of the people next to you as to what will transpire.
You have no idea how good I am at controlling those extra costs: I drink the buffet coffee, iced tea, lemonade etc. I drink almost zero alcohol, I never book premium restaurants, and I’ll never again make the mistake of having my hair blown out $$$!!!

Hi Hillary. I tried Princess last year. I couldn't get any specialty dining for the entire cruise, so I agree that a price increase is needed. Close to what Celebrity charges since they have the same demographic mix.
I liked the Medallion and using the app because it was easier to order room service. Plus, easier to get into your room.
You won’t have trashy people screaming “RALPH” sweating across the pool. No fights like Carnival which makes me feel like a week at Walmart! Royal forget about it….rude employees never brought me a drink.
Pick Pocket Princess has me more stressed out then when I embark.....Nickle and diming everywhere.....tracking you with everything you do just so they can market to you is not my idea of a good time on board as it was 30 years ago........John I ran my own BBS 40 years ago and I've seen the development.....Big Brother is watching you........But to each his own........This was a good intro as to the reality of Pick Pocket Princess....thank you...and BTW:show us the food.........

I believe if you or your cruising partner drink at all, pay gratuities and use internet, it’s a good idea to get the Plus package and probably will save you some money.
