- In this episode, we are fishing around the Island of Sentosa in Singapore with Jubel, Randy and Nordin from FishOn SG. The fishing was pretty slow for me in the first half of the day, but things started to pick up once we made our way across the channel to the nearby reef just outside Sentosa. After bursting off what I assume to be a large Tusk Fish while using a ball rig with a dead prawn, I did some jigging with the Majorcraft Jigpara 30g jig and managed to catch one spanish flag and two groupers. Fishing in the southern part of Singapore in a kayak is definitely more tiring and challenging compared to the other locations I have tried in the past. Looking forward to my next session here!
If you guys want to book a trip with Nordin from FishOn SG, I have provided the link below:

Power. I strongly recommend everyone to give Sentosa a try after you have some experience and understanding on kayak fishing. So many possible big momma!
Did u launch from siloso beach?
Tanjong Beach club was our launch point for this session!
Nice vid! For the fish finder, how do you read it? You just wait till the structure is in the middle of the screen and start fishing there?
I am still not too familiar on how to read the fish finder but I try to find “drop offs” where it goes from say 8m to suddenly 12m. Another thing Nordin mentioned to look out for on the fish finder are patches of coral or big rocks. It’ll appear as a small or big “bump”. An example would be if you are fishing an area where it’s constantly appearing as 10m then for a brief moment it goes up to 8m. That could indicate that there’s a small reef that you drifted or peddled over. I’ll be sure to ask Nordin for tips and tricks on reading the fish finder during my next kayak session.
@@IslandAnglersTV thanks bro. Do u wait till the drop off is in the middle of the fish finder screen?
