Another great video and living on the outskirts of London, I do like city bees with one of my best apiaries being very urban London. BTW, that was a crazy way to dine, loved it.
I can't believe you went to Manchester and didn't go to the volition cathedral hives! (And of how can I forget the MDBKA apiary and visitors centre in Heaton Park😁) The Flows do work in Manchester I'm North in Bury and have no problems once they are going. It's the usual plastic problem of getting them started. Either that or I'm a bee whisperer. The Balsam still has a few weeks to go oop here.
Has any one had much experience with getting permission for a apiary on top of buildings / office /flats, did you have to go to them with a risk assessment or anything,
Interesting video didn’t like the bees being blown out any bees went down would never found the way back because a lot of bees in the supers have never flown. it’s just as easy to transfer the frames from one super to another one shake them or brush them. I prefer this method to blowing or clearer boards. A lot of bees that fell down from that building would never find the way back..
@BlackMountainHoney Really don't agree with using a blower on bees as most bees in the supers are young bees that have never flown and have no orientation to hive for how long it takes to put on a clearing board . We are ment to be custodians of bees as beekeepers it's not a lot of thanks for the Honey.

@@mickhoyle4064 thanks Mick. glad you enjoyed the video! once in a lifetime dining experience
Great video, very different, amazing crop from such a unique apiary.
Thanks Jay. Was really good fun filming it. I wish every video came with a free meal like that!
Amazing well done 👍🏻 , shame about the hives on the lower roof as I bet they are full of honey ready to come off as well ,
Wow that was really interesting to see 👍👍
@@Michelle-bo5zs Thanks Michelle :)

Most of those bees are gonna die in the next few weeks anyway
What about the bees that don’t know how to fly yet?
I'm guessing they learn pretty quick!
