- Closing 2023 with a performance of “Bengawan Solo” in my mother’s birthplace, Jakarta 🇮🇩, for the charity YKA I(supporting children with cancer). I hope you like the traditional Javanese Beskap. I would like to thank everyone who has so generously supported me over the last year. Proud to have Indonesian heritage!😍

Thank you so much for a beautiful melodies. This song meant a lot to my dad. I am Thai. In late 1970s, my dad work in Semarang. Bengawan Solo was his favorite song. He loved this song very much. He worked their for 4 years and this song was his friend. Two year ago when my dad had a lung cancer stage 4, he stayed for 7 months in the hospital. Every time when i visited him in the hospital, he asked me to play this song to him. He felt comfortably when listen to BS. He passed away and i hope those wonderful memories from Indonesia stay with him forever.

@@georgeharliono I met Pak Gesang at SPBU (gas station) in Palur, Solo, years ago, around 1999, when I pursued my bachelor degree in Sebelas Maret University. He was so humble. He rode an old Honda motorcycle and smiled to everyone. A nice memory I will never forget. :) Thank you, George, for playing his Bengawan Solo composition.

I was there in front of you 😄 and watched your magnificent performances, including this "Bengawan Solo" as one of the encores. Loooove it! Surprisingly you wore Javanese traditional costume called beskap with kain batik and blangkon as hat and you made funny thing with this. You look so ganteng banget with this costume, George! And i remembered that belt fell on the floor. How i whished i could help you to tidy it up. But the show must go on and you were so incredible! Everybody enjoyed your performances.
I'm absolutely delighted that i was able to attend your 3 concerts in Indonesia in 2023. Hopefully you will come again soon this year. Happy 2024, George! May this year be as sweet as candy is. 🍭🍬😊🥳💙
