Always make sure you sing the version with the version O Mary, O Mother, reign o'er us once more Be England thy dowry, as in days of yore Ave, Ave, Ave Maria!
@LONOMATURGE I think the restoration was about 3 or 4 years ago. I remember being very excited about playing on the big organ after having had to accompany all previous masses on the 'orgue de choeur'. I have been playing at the Salford pilgrimages for 10 years almost (this August will be the 10th). The organ at Salford is a 4-manual digital built by Makin who are the UK subsidiary to Johannus. I really miss playing on real organs..you can't beat the real thing!
@LONOMATURGE Thank you! It's between the 2nd and the 10th August although I imagine there will be 2 days journey time at either end for as I normally take a coach. Of course I would jump at the chance to see organs in the Basque region but realistically it would be difficult to get away. I might have one free day however!
@LONOMATURGE Merci! I love Cavaillé-Coll organs but they are not easy for English organists to get used to. It took me a long time, what with the appel d'anches and appel grand orgue pedals etc..not to mention the fact that the stop divisions are not clearly deparmentalised
This is going to be my wedding entrance song, this song has so many meaning to my life. Beautiful :)
The most magical song to listen to being played on an organ! Especially when you're the one playing it!
Beautiful! A true traditional Catholic hymn, not one of those modern rock band style "praise and worship" songs sung in my local parish.
Manny Perez maybe it’s time to find a new parish. Look up local Traditional Latin Masses, either diocesan or group
e Marli Marcelina.
Beautiful ! Emozionante!

Emozionante... grazie Anthony 🙏❤️
Very nice accompaniment! This just showed up in my recommendations today.
Beautiful ! Quel bel instrument :-)
Beautiful. Hair stood on the back of my neck. I think I just get lost in the music of it.

3. «Venez, je vous prie, ici, quinze fois,
Avec vos amies, entendre ma voix.»
4. Avec insistance, la dame, trois fois,
A dit «pénitence». Chrétien, c’est pour toi!
5. À cette fontaine venez et buvez;
8. «Marie est venue chez nous, dix-huit fois;
L’enfant qui l’a vue est digne de foi.»
9. La grotte où l’on prie, dispense la paix;
