- The most popular and favourite hymn for Our Lady of Lourdes. The words which accompany this hymn are those which are sung in Traditional Roman Catholic Churches in England. The words to the hymn are of an anonymous nature, but the tune is that of a traditional Pyraneean melody, particularly that area from where St Bernadette came from.

I felt the presence of Our Lady with me as the last verse prayed, I didn't know the feeling but it felt so good, that it made me tear up a little, I asked my Grandfather who knows a lot about the faith, and he said that the Our lady and the Holy spirit is with me.

I am 15, I am from England, I went on a pilgrimage to Lourdes, with a small group of about 30 girls from my school, along with my whole Diocese. I wasn't expecting for such amazing things to happen to me while I was there. I am not rich, I couldn't even afford to go, but my parents came to an arrangement with my Chaplaincy. Best £500 and the best 5 days of my life.. The pain, the tears, the tiredness and the ache, it was all worth it. Lourdes changed my life.. Such a special place.. God bless

Me too. I used to teach Sunday School in the Lutheran Church years ago. Now, I'm a confirmed Roman Catholic and go to daily Mass and love the Traditional Latin Mass. For whatever reason, I started praying the Rosary in 2011 when my son really needed some help. And he got the help and I never doubted the Blessed Mother's intercession thereafter and came to the one true Church.
Well done. God's grace is abundant, I am a fellow convert to the traditional Latin Catholic Faith.
I also hate those many stricly centred bible protestants out there who deny Mary as the chosen mother of God and head of the elect of the church
"Woman behold your son, son behold your mother." HE went to that much trouble just before dying to tell us this, it's amazing that some can't or won't understand this.

I was in Lourdes 50 years ago travelling from places to places and Lourdes was on my wish list __the town itself lies in a wonderful setting the scenery is beautiful but my everlasting memory was the evening procession up the hill , the burning candles lightening the dark sky and that hymn sung in various tongues truly UNFORGETTABLE

How I adore this song! I wanted this for my wedding instead of 'Here Comes the Bride" and not knowing the title said, 'Ave Maria.' So I had the 'Ave Maria." NO regrets! ..though 3 beautiful children and 14 years later - an unwanted divorce, I now weep into sobs when I hear it, but such joy the song gives my heart still. Just as I miss my home Parish, I also still love him after almost 30 years apart. How prayer and listening to this blessed and precious music so comforts me! This arrangement in particular, and also Hail Holy Queen. I listen to this special version of Immaculate Mary more often than the others, though, in memory of my so very much missed Aunt Theresa. How she adored Mother Mary and this always brings her sweet, gentle spirit to my mind every time! I pray that she has finally seen our Mother Mary in Heaven! God bless you all!

I am in Heaven as this wonderful hymn is playing without stopping, and as today was a day of prayers for friends, on a Holy occasion, this hymn is like a beautiful absolution and benediction all in one, praise be to Our Lady and Jesus Christ !
I went to Lourdes in the seventies with a serious question as I did not have any one to turn to . At night while sleeping after the torch light procession blessed mother herself came in my dream and answered my question I call her mother of all mother's her advice lasts to this very day.
So beautiful, like being in Heaven, I pray for Our Pope Francis.
