I like how he made it some of his own art style, and some of Shintani's style at the same time. That's something that you don't see very often.
Edit: Primarily in the head, torso, and arms. The head is more of a Shintani style, the same for the torso, and the arms are more of a mixture of both. Keep it up!

Also, the shoulder pads are yellow because in canon that's the colour Gotenks has too. Metamoran clothes are meant to always be the same, so it wouldn't make sense for Gogeta and Gotenks to have different coloured clothes :)
