So many good soundtracks from KyoAni works! Haruhi, Clannad, Hyouka, Hibike!, Violet Evergarden, A Silent Voice, and Liz and the Blue Bird are among my favorites.
The hibike soundtrack is so dang good. Also pro tip, there is a full band version of the hibike euphonium song on the season 2 soundtrack, and it's absolutely breathtaking
Nail on the head. I had this discussion with a friend of mine about what stands as the most important part of our respective mediums whether we're discussing games, movies or shows. It was nothing I had really discussed at length with anyone at the time, but when he mentioned story was "by far" the most important, it got me thinking about the various elements of these types of media. I thought I had cared about story just as much as he did, but every time someone mentions the words "anime" or "game" to me, and then I think of an anime or game that I love, I realized in that moment that the VERY first thing that comes to my head more often than not is a certain music track from those favorites of mine that stuck with me the most. To name a few (not specifically related to Kyoto Ani): Steins;Gate it was "Believe Me" Clannad it was "Parting at the Foot of the Hill" Little Busters it was "Born Into this World" Music without a doubt is the catalyst that stirs up everything i remember about these productions.
16:30 Wtf you just made me suddenly burst out in tears out of nowhere. The effect of those tracks is indeed phenomenal and it carries so much emotional weight!
also, before i even finish watching the video. I use to also not be crazy into music. Now im so into music i make music for my D&D campaigns, because they improve the experience for me near a hundredfold. one of the tracks i even use for my live streams, because everytime i listen to it, im not only calmed down but i am also transported back into the very worlds i have spent hours handcrafting.. spacious place and never ending road being my absolute favs

Aww, no love for A Disappointing Resolution from Hyouka, my favorite from that ost. It just sells that quiet "i scream" desperation like no other. Also, the lack of mentioning that Lucky channel karaoke enka song is a crime. You are a criminal now
Sorry officer, it slipped my mind. Won't happen again I swear lol. (a disappointing resolution is sick btw. I don't like it as much as the songs I mentioned, but great pick)

I have way to many of the nichijou character album songs in my playlist. If you haven't listened to them it's a must. You will be laughing out loud at some of them.
The ending for the Fullmetal Panic Fumoffu - Kimi ni Kaze Fuku by Mikuni Shimokawa has the same note and vibe with The game of love by Michelle and Carlos Santana, and it's surprising that they didn't get any sue of copyright lmao
@@Totaraum hey I've been recently watched some vlog about (聖地 巡礼) Suichi Junrei aka anime pilgrimage where vloggers goes to some real place of anime scene in japan and is really great tbh, i had an idea that u can make that as a content where u highlights some place and city where Anime made by kyoani and give score to each of them, my favorite is Hyouka where they take place In Takayama, Gifu Prefecture to be the place and setting for Kamiyama City.
My takeaway: Jun Maeda is AWESOME You should make a vid about the recent stuff going on with him and his recent show, the day i become god Edit: clannad after stories op is the only one ive ever heard that uses a 5/4 time signature, its the last section of the song. Each syllable is a beat and each section is 5 beats. Super interesting

@@Totaraum fair enough xd. Maybe just a vid about the anime itself then if you ever get around to watching it? I hear a lot of people say its bad and i also hear a lot of people say its great
Lemme start by saying although I'm only on endless 8 vi, haruhi has by far some of the best music I've ever heard in any media. The piano mystery sound tracks remind me so much of the conversation by Francis Ford Coppola that movie has a perfect score! K on teaches alot about how to use the major scale without sounding cliche and overly sweet while the band itself has a sweet almost barkery fun time girly girl vibe to it. Very smart compositions But imo the best kyoani soundtrack will always be clannad they use so many motifs over and over and rather than let the music shape the story they let the story shape the music, that dango song goes from " wow this is cringe" to " I'm gonna break down and ugly cry" real quick. It's amazing when a show incorporates writing in a way that the music changes with you. K on did this as well but not on the level of clannad. And that illusionary world sound track gat damn. 10/10 def sets the bar
I wont lie, I was mostly looking forward to Clannad here haha. I first watched the anime right as I was going into High School, and I ended up reading it right after I graduated from High School, Seeing all of the faces of the characters again and hearing the music after 3 years of trying to learn how to make my own was refreshing & nostalgic & bittersweet.
