People way back then in those days had FAR LESS shit on their minds, so that's is why they were able to stay focused on the job... They face DEATH literally every second while working up there. Long hard hours. High winds that can reach like up to 100 MPH. And they had to work HARD and FAST too. All the fagot-ass, effeminate, soft-spoken, pixel-pushin' pussies of nowadays couldn't even hold a candle up to these brave and hardened men. I'd shure like to see them even try to GET UP THERE; let alone do any kinda dangerous work. Buncha fuckin' emasculated emo/femboi snowflakes, who are just too shy and afraid to even raise their voices and speak like men. These bold, fearless steel workers from a century ago would've made them their PRISON BITCHES fer shure. Now these are the REAL tough guys! 💪💯
Actually, filled with condensed helium. HA. They were and will remain truly remarkable men, including the ones today!! Respect. oh, and thank you. Stay safe.
These dudes were extremely brave men yet a bit crazy at the same time!!!! The guy that came up with the flag I mean one slip of the hands and he would have been toast!!!! I'm not afraid of heights but I would not have taken either of my hands off that cable!!!! The fact he turned and waved is a bit crazy!!!!
it’s amazing how we can convert old videos into color. it’s not 100% accurate though as you can see an American flag with black instead of red and blue.
One of the very few things i watch that gives me physical feelings that change with every move Outstanding the thi gs we now take for granted. The industrial revolution and the building from foundations upwards is forgotten daily
I wonder how many poor workers fell to their deaths needlessly for tha sake of catch nets, harnesses etc. Quite shocking the lack of safety or even 'common sense. I HAVE worked at heights many years ago, not bothered at what height - with nothing but a hammer and a spanner. One day I lost my grip and it was only my mate who grabbed my wrist and stopped me falling 200 feet! NEVER AGAIN after that I was harnessed and clipped in all the time. WE BOTH DID! Great old footage though.
@@thalesofmiletus2966 Officially, five workers died while building the Chrysler Building. However, it was reported by the New York Daily News that 14 deaths occurred during the construction.

Construction workers back then had balls of titanium
Can you believe it , that is just insane and if they didn't go to work the whole family would breakdown what a dilliema

@@scottandrews1757guess that’s why they just smiled and went to work. Crazy to think about!
😂😂😂😂
You have truly got to admire these guys
Not just the workers who’ve got stones of steel. What about the camera 🎥 person who shot this masterpiece…

After watching this one definitely will appreciate seeing the safety inspector at work this week
All that way up and they still kept it off the floor 🤙
Construction workers then had no fear of falling ! It was the sudden stop that concerned them !! 😁
The collar and tie , suit and trilby dressed for the job 👍
I have nightmares about this kind of stuff! These guys really experienced my nightmares and built skyscrapers while doing it!!!
Well put.

Yes but this is just begging of the artificial intelligence
@@FilmRescue1 Old films tend to have far much less color then modern films (like 4 to 8 colors tops), so this is technically accurate.

Jeez, those guys had balls that clanked
Steel Iron wrecking balls that were INVINCIBLE...
No health & safety back then, remarkable people
get it done, at all cost. no youtube or instant info to scare them. back in them days they walked 35 miles to work and loved it
100% HARDCORE!!! 💪💯
It makes me feel really queasy
...these guys are just so casual and not a hard hat in sight!!
The color video is better than the quality of the sound...
Great PRODUCT💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪
Thank you! I'm glad you like it!! 😊
Remarkable people
When that flag was treated with absolute respect.
Valerie, je te trouve si stimulante, tellement joyeuse, je ne suis pas de montreal, mais j'aurais aimé t'avoir comme mairesse. bravo pour ton oeuvre!
Absolutely terrifying, this music.
How America was built, they seem to treat it like nothing. Respect duly given 👍
FK THIS ...GIMMIE THE DESK JOB😮
:))
No helmets, no steel toe shoes, no gloves, no proper clothing...No problem.
I wonder how many workers bit the dust working on this particular building project. Bet it was more than just one.
REAL SUPERMEN. MY RESPECT TO ALL OF THEM.
The greatest generation
Love the suit @ ties, just like my dad he was a chippy
Jeez Louise black eyed peas.
Amayzing vidéo, amayzing WORKERS in the sky of New York at bigining of 20 century!! !
I’m sorry, but wearing hi-viz articles are not going to save any of them, if they fall?
And today I got stopped for no extraction while I was welding, but I had a air fed on 🤷
When men were men. And no one drank a coffee latte.
I bet the fall rate was high
Sweaty palms just watching.
i just wonder how many fell to their deaths.........
Far out no vertigo back then
So it took 127-years for safety rules to go from zero to ridiculous!
Where’s the Health and Safety when you need them?
Great...
Hollywood bravo!
Great depression... The value of human life was very small...
Remind me not to construct shit next time I visit 1920’s NYC
Supermen, awesome
It's OK, gravity hadn't been invented back then.
Thanks , but not the added stupid music
Tout le monde s’appelait Jean Paul Belmondo ´..à l’époque..💪🇫🇷
These guys , were apparently from an Native American tribe, Navajo? I think?
Music and colour both unnecessary.
Health and safety ruined the construction industry! 😳😂😂

According to another video there wasn’t one death whilst building the Chrysler Building.

Absolute rediculas what bosses expected of there workers then
Без страховки, каскадёры ёмоё😜😂😂
That was before your mom got involved.

MUTE the music 🤣
when men were men and women were women....would you trade it for now?
Still almost the same as today as per 12 men standing there and only 2 at most actually doing anything waste of money back than and hasnt changed haha
Started in March of 1930, the 102 story Empire State Building was built in 1 year and 45 days.
Pitiful that you have such corny intrusive music at a rather somber moment!
The music is just terrible !!!
Its just the flag thats ruining the whole video an music
That’s when men were men didn’t need no damn safety belts or hard hats the did it for little pay because they loved doing it😂🇺🇸
100% pure Alphas
Can't you spell COLOUR? We're not all American.
It's from America so that's why it's spelt that way
