Family of 9 takes a helicopter tour!

- It's another busy week in Galveston for our family! The weather has been up and down, so we've been trying to make the best of the cold, windy days, and soak up the warmer days! Sabrina spends one of the colder days this week doing some food prep for a couple of days, while everyone else takes it easy, still trying to recover from last weeks sickness. Then, on an even colder day, Michael and Sabrina bundle up and head to Galveston's historic district called "The Strand" where Sabrina gets an Açai bowl (cause who wouldn't want a smoothie bowl in freezing temps?!), and then they walk to a local coffee shop where Michael gets himself a hot coffee.
When it warms up a little, we take all the kids to PHI, to get a tour of all the helicopters from our good friend Travis. Who knew that there were helicopters big enough to carry 16 people?! The kids had so much fun getting to climb and sit in the pilot seats and explore all the different helicopters. Huge thanks to PHI and Travis for letting us do that!

Wow, the Boyd Family Adventure always brings such joy and excitement to their vlogs! 🚁 Taking a helicopter tour with a family of 9 is no small feat, and it's incredible how they turn even colder days into memorable adventures. The food prep segment was impressive, and the variety of dishes they made sounds delicious - from chicken kafta to banana chocolate chip almond butter muffins!
Exploring Galveston's historic district, "The Strand," for an Açai bowl on a freezing day was a bold move, but it looked absolutely delicious. Kudos to Sabrina for her culinary skills! The helicopter tour with PHI was the highlight, and it's fascinating to see the inner workings of these helicopters, especially the safety features like life vests and the underwater escape training. Travis's insights into maintaining and repairing helicopters added an extra layer of interest.

Seeing the food prep on the bus was great, with so little room (compared to the older coach bus) it all got done, Then Sabrina and Michael leave the yellow food "truck" (bus) and go to another food truck at The Strand so Sabrina can have an Açai bowl.
Where Emily was working on a craft and didn't want anyone to see, maybe it was for an upcoming birthday and she didn't want to spoil the surprise.
Very impressive helicopters and how they move people out to sea. Informative talk by Travis. While I was watching I thought how funny it would be if Michael jokingly asked if he could buy an old helicopter and turn it into a house (like he did with the bus)...and then Bethany mentioned about converting one. Everyone seemed to like sitting in the pilot seats. 🚁
