    Nick, no idea what's gone wrong with the channel.
    It's fun informative, well produced and stylish but RUclips seems to have decided the algorithm no longer likes you.
    I hope these videos start getting the views they deserve again.
    Also, do a kickflip

    Open frame "cases" have become more popular in the SFF world, and as long as you don't have kids, pets, clumsy family that spill things, and/or poor maintenance skills they're a real treat to work with.

    • @dandyND
      @dandyND 9 месяцев назад +5

      I really don't get the point of open sff cases, like you're building in an unrestricted space why even bother going small? You could just buy a normal open frame and put in small components and it would have the same volume. Like the case in the video here, the whole point of using a sandwich layout is for better GPU temps and compatibility in small cases but here it makes no sense. If it's for looks, don't you want to look at all of your components at the same time? And isn't it just better to buy a normal sff case but don't use the side panel so that you can also have the option to close it when you want to?
      I've been building in sff cases ever since I got into PC building so it's not like I don't get sff but just the open sff cases don't make sense to me

    • @Revenant_Knight
      @Revenant_Knight 9 месяцев назад +8

      @@dandyNDSFF is about looks 90% of the time. Most SFF users choose their case first, and their components second. That doesn't exclude them from wanting top tier performance and value, but it does limit what they can get. This case, is an aesthetic that will appeal to some, and not others. Practically, it's going to have limitations as mentioned, but all SFF cases do.
      I built an Xtia XProto XL and will straight up admit I liked the way the case looked more than the performance. Yes, I do wish I could see all the sides of it at the same time. I rotate every once in a while so I can see it from different angles. But I also like that sandwich look it has.
      SFF is, ultimately, more about personal expression than functional usage. Excluding those that truly need the small space of course.

      @Revenant_Knight 9 месяцев назад

      @@mikeymaiku Well that's more for the sub-7L builds. If you want to go with something int he 10L to 15L range you have a lot more options. I'm running various systems ranging from a 4L Densium with a 4060/5600X combo to a Slate case with a 13900K and 3080. The Xtia is my test bench.

    the most hardest part is finding a psu that can fit.

    I when down the rabbit hole with the ITX build several times and it is worth/not-worth it at the end because you have to learn compromise for the build. Instead, I am looking forward to Lian Li/DAN A3-mATX/ITX case ($70) soon to be release. For this case in this video; yea it looks great, but it is too pricey for what it's worth, and that it just mine opinion.

You should try things before you give your negative opinion. I almost didn't get this case, which was by far my first choice for my build, because your opinionated review which had no factual basis to back your claim. You had the 4090 FE right there to try it out, a luxury most don't. Lazy much? Do better!
