The song during the ending credits is called "564 years" which is the amount of time it would take for the son to buy that house earning the average salary in Korea. So it's basically saying it will never happen.
@@Dai.NatreactsI JUST subscribed to your channel tonight after watching your reaction to Shawshank Redemption and the Green Mile. Whenever I check out a new reaction channel those are the first two movies that I check out in order to decide. They're tell me right away what kind of people I'm dealing with. I'm an independent president human rights advocate for over 40 years. Juveniles to my people on death row, and including political prisoners. You guys are actually the ONLY ones who got this movie out of two channels I watch who've reacted to Parasite. I think a lot of people didn't take this movie on because of the fact that of the subtitles. It really does a huge disservice to this movie because it really is a gem.
The point of the ending is his plan to buy the house would never actually come true. They said their plans never work out. Unfortunately , this is because of their mentality , but also the great disparity between the wealthy and the poor in South korea. I think the director said in his lifetime the son would never be able to buy that house. So the father is doomed to be a parasite in that house. The sad part is, if they hadn't been greedy, that rock did give them wealth. And they could have kept the secret of the other family and elevated themselves. Or they never would have been in that house in the first place when the old housekeeper showed up and their secret would have been safe
That’s why it won the Academy Award for Best Picture (the highest award of the night) at the 92nd Academy Awards (the first non English language film to win that award). It also won 3 other Oscars that night, Best Director, Best Original Screenplay, and Best International Film. Great choice, welcome back and Congrats!
The real tragedy is the actor who played the rich dad committed suicide a few years later. Complicated reasons, but in a nutshell famous Korean actors are under such a spotlight that any mistake can ruin their lives.
@@Dai.Natreacts He got accused of a bogus drug charge and it automatically ruined his career since places like Korea do not mess around when it comes to celebrities doing those type of things unlike here in the States. The sad thing is that the accusation was based on the word of some female with zero evidence that he was using anything, but the accusation is enough to ruin you. At the very least, it has started a much-needed conversation when it comes to how labels, agencies, and the public in these countries treat celebrities and others over mere accusations of things like recreational drug use especially if there's nothing to back it up. A sad story all around.
@@citypopradioFM It wasn't a bogus drug charge. He did it, which was embarrassing for him but not worth killing oneself. The real reason for his demise is more cultural. He had a very family man, squeaky clean image. He made millions off of this but as his dark other lifestyle came to life (relationship with prostitute, drug usage, etc.) he must have felt a lot of shame and pressure, especially from his parents, wife, etc.). Unfortunately, the police also continued the investigation because the actor himself filed a complaint against his former prostitute girlfriend who was setting him up and blackmailing him. The police are obligated to investigate if there is a complaint especially of this size. I don't think he was a bad guy but he had his own demons and let his demons get the better of him; he got involved with the wrong people. People easily point fingers at the media, police, etc. but ultimately he did it to himself. It is true that Koreans hold a higher standard but that's not a totally bad thing; overall it keeps the greater society living cleaner lives, less crime, higher morals, etc. However, it can be punishing as well especially when you are a public figure. I think the actor was spiralling a long time ago. He just didn't have the strength to overcome the consequences of his misdeeds. All he had to do was take the punishment, embarrassment, stay low for awhile til things blew over and then returned as a new man. Just as punishing as Koreans are, they also easily forgive. Oh well, suicide is a very personal choice. No one can tell you not to do it; it is a part of free will. Only he will know if it was the right choice for him.
I hope you guys do more korean stuff! Especially Korean shows like the glory etc. I also think it will boost you all so much too especially the way you guys react 😂 I hope you give it a try
The thing with jessica is... she seemed like she was the one who was the most at ease with the rich lifestyle thats why she died. Society/ the world rarely allows anyone from a lower socioeconomic status to rise higher from where they were born at. Its a fact of life.
thank you!! yes i am i have so much backed up content!! I will be posting soon thanks for the comment! gave me motivation to keep going with the channel!!
Everything's in the cinematography and compositions bad a meaning I love listening to videos of film students talking about it And i discover something new every re watch
Yeah this movie was crazy when we watched it. If you want another banger of a Korean film, try Train To Busan. It's our favorite movie of that genre. Old Boy is also great, but it's Japanese, don't make it any less great though. Congrats on the new addition.
Good to see yall back Fye reaction 🔥 them Korean and Japanese movies n tv shows be hitting and watching it in Korean give you the full effect cause they really bring emotion to it congratulations 🎉🎈🎊🍾 on baby Dai n Nat 🫡🙏🏾💯✅
Personally Kmovies and Kdrama are the best. Please watch The outlaws, The cop, the devil the gangstar and The roundup. They all action movies but have the perfect balance of action, great storyline and comedy.
31:35 lmao @ the comment about rich ppl watching. 😭 Also bc every so often you catch a comment or reaction from somebody that ONLY sees this movie from the rich family's perspective -- and that is about the takeaway 😅

That was a really clever choice of music by the director !

Whattt Really ??
@@Dai.Natreacts Yes, Sadly. He was one of the most famous actors in Korea. It would be like Tom Hanks killing himself here.
