- We've already tried to beat Kirby's Return to Dreamland, Kirby Star Allies, and Kirby Triple Deluxe without jumping, we've even invited a guest star to give it a go. It's time for another so let's see if you can beat Kirby Star Allies Guest Star Meta Knight without jumping. Is it possible to succeed at this challenge? Let's find out.

I know that the minigames and arenas in Kirby aren't cannon, but in Meta Knightmare Ultra, Meta Knight wishes to fight Galacta Knight, who holds that title, and can very much beat him (given the player can do it), which would mean that MK is either on par with Galacta, or stronger, thus the title of strongest warrior, would also be applicable to Meta Knight.

Unofficial Meme As a Kirby fan, i can say in a gameplay stance Kirby Star Allies is extremely easy, it’s not a bad game, it’s just a very easy game, the base game has barely any challenge, and before you say “muh void”, that is dlc, and the base game comes with the easier Void Soul, which after practice i personally can do the fight with barely any problem, yes, the dlc content is considerably hard, but if you need to add difficulty to an already completed game i don’t think that’s a very good image. Again i must repeat i enjoyed Kirby Star Allies, and it’s dlc, but Kirby doesn’t have to be easy to be fun for everyone

5:54 actually, Mach Tornado can be charged in the air if you hold down the button immediately after it ends, and it becomes fully charged before you hit the ground. This means that you can release it rhythmically to slowly gain height.

Magolor would also be a decent choice as a Dream Friend, thanks to his Revelation Flame and Magolor Surge have the same powers as the animal trio has! One weakness is that he doesn’t have water; he has zap instead.
I really like the idea of making challenge runs on more obscure/less know games instead of the usual fallout/Skyrim runs

high priest tela I don’t think the jumpless challenge craze is in fallout lol. Its mostly platformers starting with Mario odyssey specifically game champ I think.

I always enjoyed these kind of challenges, really shows how far we can push a game
Here's one, "The floor is lava challenge". You have to beat Kirby Star Allies without touching the ground. You can touch floating platforms and can touch the ground while on a friend's back but that's it.

Maybe, but it's kinda hard to position your attacks and you can't use friend abilities.

I got an interesting kirby challenge I want to do now that is the opposite of your challenge. Can you beat Kirby Mass Attack while only jumping?
Impossible without a TAS engine. It will even be pretty hard with a TAS engine.

@@sirk603 There are lots of unavoidable occurrences where Kirbys need to land on the floor, and some of them can be avoided, but not with a stylus. That is way too slow, and a TAS engine would be required so all the Kirbys can be flicked at almost the exact same time.

The Shuttle Loop is the same as the Brawl Meta Knight Glide.

I’ve done some testing and I’ve discovered a bit of the no jumping challenge for some characters in guest star. Marx can do his backflip down special like attack to flip onto small ledges. (and slightly bigger ledges using the move on a ball) This is a bit useless though because rig you kick the ball you can use his down special dive in the air. He goes very high up when he comes back from the ground, and it is very easy to control. If he falls off the ledge, he has good horizontal moment with his dash in the air. (at least with the lightning ball) Susie gets bluster early on, which allowed her to fly indefinitely. The only hurdle for her before that is getting past a high ledge. It’s literally right before the Broom Hatters. She has a dash propellor for mostly horizontal movement and exiting the robot for some vertical height. Using her dash propellor thing, she can make it if you angle it up when going left, and then you would turn around while still going up. In her bluster robot, she turns into a tornado for a long time if you hold the attack button. It goes on for long, but you can even reset it in mid air, which makes it indefinite. Her only issue is seemingly keys. Taranza uses his down special that causes an explosion. By holding it, he can fly indefinitely at a slow pace. He has the same problem as Susie with keys. Magalor can fly with his shadow ball attack, so he has the same problem. Dark Meta Knight annoyed me: his only aerial movement options seem to be an upward slash by holding attack and up and his dash attack to an up special, which I think is better overall. Horizontal movement can be annoying. There’s a slightly high ledge in the beginning, but I was able to make it by dashing on a ledge, which left me slightly above ground, and I was able to use the tornado up special to make it onto the ledge. Unfortunately, I found a place where there is a sleep cap enemy, and a rock guy. The ledge was barely out of reach, and no matter how much I tried, I couldn’t make it. (Though it may be possible) Soon, he gets bluster sword, which gives his dash attack and up special move much more height. The upward attack spin slash doesn’t change though. He also has tons of horizontal movement if you keep slashing. I was unable to climb on ladders when I slashed though, so I might have to worry about that. I couldn’t dodge either. Those aren’t tests for now, so I’ll maybe report more later
Edit: I actually did more tests than I thought I did, so here’s more. I think someone said that fairy spin and Kracko would be a enough for Adeleine to win, but characters like that have different maps, so I’m still not sure for other characters. Gooey has his ultra down up special attack to get decent vertical height, but his fireball dash can actually go higher. It can only go up twice though. Daroach can teleport infinitely, but it doesn’t seem like he has any any way to go into the air other than ledges, which might be a problem. Also, teleporting is a bit finicky. Rick, Kine, and Coo can’t jump. There aren’t any ledges at the beginning, so I can’t use Coo’s parasol move. (There are only slopes, and I was unable to fly using them. You can barely make it using the top ledge at the beginning, but you can’t reach it, so it doesn’t matter. ESPN guy has a finicky teleport, which only seems to go up twice, so I couldn’t access the friend switch where you have to drop the basin. The mage sisters are just broken. They all can fly infinitely. They can use Elegant Escape, Lightning Lemonade, (or teleport) and the fire canon. That’s out of order but whatever. I’ll report more later probably

@Muse Suse mechless susie would be impossible. All she has is the blaster, which does nothing, and the dash, which only helps with clearing gaps.

After Shuttle Loop, MK often does a little hop. I assume it's just a quirk of the move, but hey, it never hurts to ask, right?
I haven't watched it yet, but I assume that yes, it is possible, because Bluster Sword is overpowered when it comes to no-jump challanges.
EDIT: Oh, right. Meta Knight doesn't have Upward Slash.

Rick, Coo, and Kine (Maybe? Probably *really* hard)

3 Mage-Sisters
All other dream friends are either ridiculously easy (Magolor, Taranza, and Daroach) because they have movess that you can charge up and float around) or near impossible (Gooey, Adeleine and Ribbon) for basically no jump options
Adeleine & Ribbon have the Kracko drawing and Gooey has the Down-Up-B attack and the fireball
Adeleine and ribbon have that spining attack
Good job! Idk why, but I think a TAS of this challenge would be cool. Would probably take another 20 years for switch modding/emulating to get to that point though...

I've got an idea for a challenge, when or if you make another. Beat Kirby Star Allies without walking/running. More accurately, without ever seeing that animation. You can jump and hover though, itd probably be impossible without.
Yes. It is possible. Friend circles and trains don’t have Meta Knight Jumping, it has his friends and him jumping. It doesn’t count.

I tried a while back., the tutorial has 14 jumps. The gold league has 2 jumps, 1 in the mission "Fear the Super Time Bomb" because the mode Rocket Rumble requires one person to get in the ship, which requires a jump. This mission is single player, so we can't have Waddle Dee beat it for us. The second jump is in the second part of the mission "Go for a Gold Victory." In my notes for the challenge, it says "we need to jump here because Meta Knight is too good!"
I never got to finishing the challenge though. I should do that!
