As a former military officer,i hv experience using this powerful weapon..it hv universal platform..u can use this as traditional heavy machine n u can also use this hmg as sniper..it very accurate..i hit enemy target 1100m in my battle against terrorist..
I saw someone hiting chest-sized targets with kord from a video, sometimes people forgets how accurate those heavy machineguns can be.

I've seen this MG in 2011 at Libyan Civil war. It was mounted on reverse hull of T62 tanks.

It cannot take a silencer it's 12.7 for God's sake. That muzzle is already perfect besides you can attach a scope on it but it definitely won't hold zero because again it's a .50 caliber. It's perfect as it is. It's a much improved NSV and NSV is an awesome weapon in fact so is Duskhe.

Browning M2 barrel weighs 11 kg.
"Kord" barrel weighs 9.5 kg.
And the M2 cannot use infantry bipods for firing, as Kord does 1:58.
Replacing the barrel at "Kord" is less than a minute.

No doubt, a powerful HMG ! Maybe better than M2.
Absolutely better than the M2: it shoots the .50r cal (12.7x108), wich is 10% bigger than the nato .50 cal (12.7x99), it has much less recoil, it is more precise, sturdier, more durable, costs less (from what ive heard), requires less maintanance, more mobile, can be mounted pretty much everywhere, can operate under all weather conditions, i mean, it's overall perfect... if there's one thing Russians do better than everybody else, that's HMGs
10% bigger in case size but the NATO 50 cal still packs more punch you just have to see the Wikipédia is easy you use Google for everything, case size dont mean nothing
