Even though the Green Jedi stray away from the basics some, I find them to be one of the most interesting offshoots of the Jedi Order. They are so different, but also so similar. Making bold Corellian statements, and doing their thing. Can you imagine if Han Solo was taken in by the Green Jedi Enclave as a kid? You know, there may just be new a what if in that. Eh?

If the Green Jedi were still around during the clone wars , characters like Dooku , Qui Gon , and Anakin most likely would’ve joined their order at some point instead of the traditional one .
Thanks for the video , gave me a lot to think about .

Glad you enjoyed it and had something to think on. In truth, I do love doing the "What Ifs", but for those things you just mentioned is why I also see a ton of value in these sort of lore dives. Be they of legends or canon material.

@@sammywiltshire9180 Well there was an Green Jedi in legends called Neeja Halycon, who actually was married, and even learned Anakin's secret marriage to Padmè, who's grandson Corran Horn who later befriend Luke Skywalker when he established his new Jedi Order, so I guess the Green Jedi were still around in the Clone wars, but they're just not that well known it seems.

@@jediknightjameslunagazer7632 Yeah but the novel where that happens gets everything completely wrong. It has Neeja as a normal jedi with a secret marriage. Rather than the open "Literally minted a coin for his family and friends, and had his son as his padawan openly" I have my issues with Karen Traviss but at least she managed o get the interactions between Anakin and Djinn Altis (Leader of another sect of jedi that got married) correct. Anakin still kept his secret close and Djinn sensed the truth but gave advice to Anakin about how attachment isn't bad but can turn to toxic obsession.
Jedi Trial just completely forgot the Corellian Jedi had their own traditions

The green Jedi seems interesting plus I like the idea that there are Jedi sect in different planets besides coursaunt the seems to be the main temple shows the galaxy is larger than we think in than the current canon.

It sounds like jedi credits are in someways similar too military challenge coins.

Of course there's the novel Jedi Trial which has Coran Horn's grandfather as a normal jedi with a secret marriage like Anakin. Rather than being a schismatic Corellian Jedi whose padawan was OPENLY his own son. And from the Corellian faction that minted coins for the FAMILY of Jedi when they were knighted.
