Wow, long time no post. I love your videos! The art pieces that you make are actually beautiful & really interesting to see. This one kind of reminded me of Charlie Browns' Christmas tree. 😂 I've actually learned a few things about Ants because of your notes & art pieces. Keep up the good work! 👍❤️
How about a step by step instructions for casting from How many lb. Of aluminum? to how to melt, carry and pour , time to cool to digging it up cleaning & mounting ?

I just found this guy and I have a kind of strange question. Does he kill any of the colony before doing this? And is it bad that I want them to die a molten liquid death?
What a really creative way to kill ants. I would love to order but read the notice about none being available as it's impossible to supply the demand. Ever considered training others to be able to make them as well? Apprenticing ? That's a way.
What is your problem with ants? Plus there were apparently no ants harmed in the video because the owner waits for native ant species like carpenter ants to abandon their colonies before casting.

Too bad about the failed fire ant casts. Hope the professor gets/has gotten the stuff he needs for his research. Good video. Godspeed.
Thanks! I did get one for him. Good to know someone is reading my long descriptions.

Thank you for sharing this beautiful art form. The natural shapes are fascinating.
These casts would make cool little christmas "trees"!
This is so awesome and beautiful! I would display it on a coffee table as a conversation piece. 😁
i remember i used to watch these at 3 am when i was 8 i’m so glad he’s still doing this
"So how many ants have you cast?"
This guy: "Yes"
I can tell that this is going to be beautiful.
Oooo that’s a good one
Looks like a million-dollar piece of art work from a museum. 😁
Was the nest abandoned ?
That’s also my concern.
If that's your concern, you should see what moderm agriculture does to creatures that live in the soil. Vast fields of death really.
@@MarkRose1337 no its just that i am ok with fire ant but with native native specie (if the specie in the video is native)
@@MarkRose1337 animal cruelty and unsustainable farming is exactly why I haven’t eaten meat nor fish in years.
On behalf of the channel owner: Of course the nests were abandoned. He would never kill a bunch of ants in order to make a cast. No need to call PETA.
Wow!! Such a unique layout of nest, nature is absolutely stunning!
This dude thanos snapped to make nature in his Appartement

I’m curious if it would be possible to do this with precious metals like gold. Not that I would be able to afford that much gold!

Are the ants inside when you cast?
Yeah, he kills invasive species that way
I feel so bad for the carpenter ants 😭
Imagine some giant pouring molten metal down your chimney to get a casting of your house. 😁
do videos more often please :)
It's sad to the ants that sacrificed their life for a nice piece of art

I may do that eventually
That is wonderful business to turning fire ants into a fine art works
This is a beautiful ant species!
The only problem I really have with this is that Carpenter ants in most places are dying out. They aren't invasive either.
That's cool! I like the simplicity of the carpenter ants.
