I'm retired police. A dodge dealer in my former jurisdiction called on us, for various issues. I took care of several problems for them, that resulted in favorable outcomes. I go to the gm that I personally know to order a scat pack challenger. He says $5k over. I say, for me? C, mon. Sorry, that's what it is. I go thirty miles away to another dealer, I've never done business with, order at msrp, plus, when the car came in, in July, I got a $1k rebate, plus a first responder discount. You just have to shop around.
Not too different than the one I worked at years ago, back when employee price meant over cost, not over anything else. They refused to deal with me on one, so I went to another store across town. They were furious. Needless to say, I left those d-bags and went to work at the other one
As an old guy that has gone through FINANCIAL HELL a couple times a little advice: What you need is LESS EXPENSES! Don't spend all your money this way! Rent a small place you can afford and save your money! Your family does not need and you can't afford a big million dollar plus house or a expensive rental. Your family will not love you anymore. If you lose everything your wife might not care much for you anyway. It happened to me! Three years after losing my job she hit the road with another guy, and yes this can happen to you in a NY minute! Times in California and America are going to get a lot worse! You need to have saved money to survive not big house payments! Get rid of as many obligations as you can. I'm not as successful as Mike, but I have no debt. I was a sales rep for Dodge division. I saw dealers spend too much money and go broke, etc. Save your money. Good luck you!

Thats the thing o never lose sight of. Hobby or livelihood, you make sacrifices for the family, but you never want it to end up affecting the thing youre protecting.
Wow that blows me away. You know what happened to me is I ordered Demon 170, I get an allocation from my long time dealer, 60 days after it was built I asked about the car to Dodges concierge, Dodge says its delayed bc of slow transport, then at 90 days I asked what happened to the car is it damaged? Dodge says "no". I get the car and a few days later I find a receipt with my VIN on it for 6 hours off paint and body labor at a Dodge dealership in Michigan before its ever owned. Look it up and its on the carfax. So I just paid $130k for a previously damaged car. paid $20k over for it. Dealer only says they will give me $5k back. So I'm $15k over on a repainted Demon 170. Dodge straight up lied to me in writing and now where are they? Mike Macdonald called me over a week ago, so far nothing happening. I even trade da Shelby GT350 #J1518 Chassis for the car. It was undamaged. GONE. Money GONE. Future value GONE. Its not only the dealers doing shady stuff. I'm a disabled person.

I am happy for you getting your Demon 170. I know it is a car that you wanted and I know what it is like when you find the car you love. The dealers have been screwing us for too long. Now the insurance companys are really piling on. It is an insane world. I bought a 2019 Stinger GT and my insurance was $88 a month. Five years later the car is worth half as much, but insurance is just under $200 monthly. One day, hopefully soon, we will see all of these thieves will get what they deserve.
Brad...I commented below before your video started so I didn't hear the first part of your video regarding the new house. I told you previously that I am a retired Dodge Chrysler dealership owner that has some money in the bank and no debt. It scares me a bit to hear you describe your situation with your cars and your many loans and that you live in a nice but pricy neighborhood. Living without debt is the most freeing thing in the world so don't get yourself so buried that you are sleeping with the checkbook. Please take no offense at my comments as I am just trying to offer some advice that may or may not be useful to you and I mean only the best by offering my unsolicited advice. This time next year 2023 Demons will be bringing $20K under sticker. Heard it from one of the largest selling Challenger dealers in the Midwest yesterday. That's why they are lowering prices already.

As for the rest of the video, it's honestly sad that it takes a group of RUclipsrs to hold these dealerships to the deals they make and keep them from screwing their customers. It's sad, but very much appreciated. I'm new to the whole "Dodge Brotherhood" as I only just bought my Challenger, but I'm glad to be a part of it thanks to people like you. Now all I have to do is avoid the people that treat us V6 owners like shit.
Every badge has its detractors, the Ford Mustang and Camaro guys are bad too.. Dodge "Brotherhood" is just a buzzword to make you all feel like youre in the same family. Kicker is, there are car clubs that wont allow owners of Magnums, 300Cs etc to be in a Challenger and Charger club, even though its basically the same car, same chassis, same drivetrains. I got turned down for one many years ago because my Dodge truck, didn't have a Hemi. Even though my Dakota had a V8 and was built on the same line in Warren, MI at the "DODGE TRUCK PLANT"
Only one I havent heard any bad rep from is the JDM community. Ironically enough thats the culture most "muscle car" people crap on.

If a dealer is guilty of lying to customers and won't honor a notarized agreement, they are also guilty of other fraudulent behaviors as well across their entire business. They will cheat in all aspects. It starts at the top.
I will never buy a new Dodge from any dealership. They are criminals period.

Isn't it illegal to sell an a car over MSRP?? The company I worked for got called out for selling cans of paint for $.50 over MSRP.. We were just trying to recoup cost of theft..

A lot of good things to be said about making lots of money selling cars and living debt free. Also a lot of good to be said about having a reputation for honesty, fair dealing and keeping your name off the civil docket as a defendant. There's a price for everything.
Man California is no joke I'd never able to afford that. Thought I paid a heavy mortgage at 3500. Wish I had a guy like you in my corner growing up you really got things lined up just right.
But he actually doesn’t have anything lined up just right tho and I mean no disrespect to him by this comment cause I love this guy but he has committed financial suicide over and over (unless he has liquid cash sitting around somewhere to pay off all the loans, which is possible and really isn’t any of our business)
Someone who has things lined up just right will have a small home somewhere that’s paid for , or the ability to pay off any time, and doesn’t have 5 loans on 6 vehicles. Everyone today needs to take every step possible to become debt free and not living solely on credit. This has become a very dangerous world and all of us need to do all we can to become debt free. All of these toys will not help the beautiful wife and daughter if your not here tomorrow!
They are doing the right things... though thats after the last 2+ years of random youtubers walking onto a Chevy Dealer's lot and saying, "wow a 2019-22 Silverado for $90,000?!" Or the posts about a Ford dealer wanting $100k over on a Raptor R. Its not new that dealers have been screwing people over. It just took the perfect storm of a service member who got screwed out of a Demon 170, that was marked up, and already had a down payment and under contract... Thing is people forget the unspoken rule of either side can break that contract within a 72hr period... like getting fired on the last day of your net30 probation, so they dont actually have to pay you a wage, or benefits.
We laugh now at the stories of Carrol Shelby selling the same Cobra 4 times to different people, just painted different colors each time... Or how Lancia tricked the homologation inspector that they had the production number of road cars to meet for rally, when in fact they only had half built... Clarkson talked about it.
We are 100% behind you, great job. If this is 3rd rate, they are going to be in HUGE trouble when you become 1st rate as I feel you all are. Keep up the great work!

90% of dealerships are crooks ! I bought a new 2022 Kia Telluride, sticker was $43890. Paid $7000 mark up. They offered me 10 FREE oil changes/tire rotations. I drove the car cross country from NY to California and back . The car had 8572 mils on it. I went to the dealership for my first FREE oil change. They tell me its $140 ! I ask them what happened to my free oil change and they say.....we bought this dealership one month after you bought the car (they kept the same dealership name). They said that deal you had was with the old owners, not us ! Long story short, I caught them in a fugazy paperwork thing and forced them to pay me $750 to cover 10 oil changes. They had me sign some legal papers that Johnnie Cochran would be proud of.

Unpopular fact: these cars aren't worth their msrp. Or this much hassle. The Demon 170 or Hellcat or Scatpack, are worth a bit more due to extra performance and the costs associated with. Engine, brakes, trans, suspension, etc. They are assembly line cars. The engines aren't special like Viper or Cobra engines, with assigned builders and special plaques. $60-80k tops.
Unpopular fact: these cars will never be worth more than you paid for them. You'll be lucky if they hold some value like Jeep Wranglers, if you know, you know.
Unpopular fact: youll lose money driving off the lot with a new car.
Final Unpopular fact: when you build 100,000+ "Last Call" cars, they aren't very rare, or special.
Anyone who buys these cars for more than MSRP is a clown. Anyone who buys these cars for $25, $50, $75k or more is a king clown.
I feel like an idiot for buying my Daytona at MSRP and 6 months later you can get the same Dsytona and same color for $5-6k less. Because no ones buyimg them.
Granted we bought an allocation and her name is on the window sticker. It's a pill I can swallow for my woman to be happy, but I told her, they try to mark up or price gouge we walk. I'll buy a cooler car or we'll build a Salvage Hellcat.

I would never pay over sticker on a car and I damn sure would never pay the amounts over sticker that most of these guys are paying. At the end of the day what’s the point?
Their RUclips channels are obviously not being accelerated by these high-end overpriced cars. I’ve seen RUclipsrs with regular scat packs and regular RT do better than many of these guys with hellcats and demons. With very few exceptions.
The impending electric vehicle takeover is ultimately going to wipe these dealers and these channels out.
This story about the soldier getting cheated out the demon has been perfect clout chasing fodder. I’ve seen so many people who don’t even have all of the facts talking about it just for views.
Most people knew that when the last call additions were announced that the dealers were going to absolutely rip them off. I just can’t believe people fell for the trap.

I just purchased a 2023 Dodge Challenger Shakedown & excited as Well, drove it home from Minnesota to South Jersey, got home Tuesday morning . Anyhow listened to your Demon problem #1 you mention on door pressure closure, ran out to my car and see if similar problem is as well, only thing I noticed my drivers window , when opening door. The glass drops about 1/8 inch , then door closes just fine & glass resides backup . Maybe you know , signing off . Mike from South Jersey

Screaming about shady dealers and their markups, while flexing about getting multiple “last calls” deals from your dealer because you have a YT channel, makes your words of caution sound more like rubbing our noses in it. Most of these other guys exposing the dealers have actually gotten screwed themselves, that’s why they are taken more seriously…

Rolex is able to maintain full control of their dealers, thats why no Rolex dealer can sell them for over retail. Sounds like the CEO of Dodge has a loose screw in his head.

We already own real estate. This is a short term move so 2 years won’t matter. And the math is interesting for our scenario. Rent at $5500 month vs mortgage at $10,000 month is the same thing almost since we’re at a 35% tax bracket and mortgage interest deduction caps at $750k and depending on who becomes president we could get trapped in the next 2 years. So we might wait to buy our “forever” home and save our cash til our kid goes to college in a year and a half. The we can buy a smaller home and get my shop and put half down on a $900k house instead of 20% on a $1.5-2mil house. It’s interesting math but requires serious thought.

I’ve been asking Dodge for there help for 10 months to save my vin match # _ _. But found out today it’s already been sent to a new home 😞

Right, some people would say I was stupid, but in 2022 the dealer had the M6 SP optioned the way I wanted in the exact color I was looking for sitting right there. There wasn't another one in the state and I would have paid more for options like a sunroof I didn't want. They wanted $5K over MSRP. I could have walked and searched all over, tried to make a deal somewhere else but it wasn't worth it to me to spend all that time and effort. I don't feel like I was ripped off, no one forced me nor was I promised something better. 10K I wouldn't have done it. I guess my point is, if the dealer is up front, it's their car and you can walk away. The deals in this video are SUPER shady and I would be super pissed if I ordered a car, with a signed statement and then they tried to extract money..

I paid 1k less than msrp for my destroyer gray scat pack charger widebody. My dealer was honest but my window sticker says it was special ordered for someone else. I’m happy with it .
I bought my Dodge charger HELLCAT back in February 2016. $76,000
$315 a month on GEICO.
From what I can see the only winner here are the dealerships and the insurance companies.
Hellcats are going for close to $100,000 now and the insurance is sky high because they are 60% more likely to be stolen than just about any other car right now.
I'm more surprised that it hasn't broken down or gotten stolen yet.
Hellcat Challengers are not moving at $77.5k here in north Dallas. My C8 and wife’s ‘24 Macan T costs $218/mo total to insure with GEICO lol. Throw in our two now garaged 2012 Priuses and the total bumps up to $422/mo (4 cars).
lol all these dealers will go out of business, knowing that who wants to put down a 10k deposit and pay 50k over msrp for the Daytona Ev I heard they are really collectible and will go up in price it’s a good investment.

Given the change in circumstances, I would not blame you one bit if you sold the Demon 170 for a profit and used it for financing the home you and your family love. It's just me, but I'd even sell the Lambo too (since you already said you want to upgrade soon) and wait to get a new one once you're nicely settled into your new home. Keep the Swinger, of course, (it's your best content-generating car) have some light mods done to it, dyno it, etc.
Brad, I understand you and others wants and desires, myself, I feel a hell of a lot more pride in the ones that my blood, sweat and tears go into, but as I have been told in the past, different strokes for different fokes.

You probably won't say but what do you primarily do for a living. Hearing your comments about schools and neighborhoods made me chuckle as a 28 Year Navy Vet we moved plenty of times and dealt with some terrible school systems and places to live. Our last transfer was to Pearl Harbor and living in Halsey Terrace we used to joke that the termites left and ants had a super highway system through the house. Family of 5 in a house less than 1000 SqFt. We get a better house later (still military housing) as they tore down the old stuff and put up new stuff which later would become section 8 housing. I hope you figure this out and keep the Demon 170. I have no pity on Dodge or their broken (for those that are that way) system of shitty Dealers. 2024 has to be a very bleak year for the folks at Dodge knowing that they offer no real performance cars. Sure they have the Hellcat Durango and TRX but at the end of the day the only thing they can hope is that the Hornet is a success. I can say that so far the only place I have ever seen one is sitting on the lot. Have never seen one on the road. It is not exciting nor noteworthy. I am not 100 percent but damn close to say that if do business with Dodge again it would be for a truck. Zero interest so far in what is reportedly coming out sometime in the near future and to be honest I would be hesitant to buy a new platform off the get go.
