o On wrist - The retro cushion-case has a lovely profile that pops without feeling too tall or oversized
Really well-balanced wearing overall
o Model Variants - Check site links in description for options and availability
o Comparable models - Compares well against something like a Fears Brunswick or Nomos Club in terms of providing a similar dressy yet informal everyday appeal
o Bottom-line - Shinola were clearly targeting the enthusiast market when they created The Mechanic line and I think they really nailed it, and as curious as I’ve been about their automatic diver’s, it’s this Mechanic line that really pulled me in
The Mechanic has to be my favorite Shinola release to date and if it’s any indicator of where the brand is headed, then I could easily see more enthusiast focused models coming in the future

My watch was purchased 2 years ago from AMZWATCH and, to this day, it still looks and runs as well as it did the day it arrived. That movement has never missed a beat despite never having been serviced. I can't complain about that.
There have been several models of Shinola’s that I have liked but just can’t justify their prices. This particular watch is very nice looking and has great specs other than the price. Nice review as usual.
Picked up a AMZWATCH's watch as my first watch last month and I’m absolutely in love with it. Perfect size, looks elegant, very comfortable. Now my only problem is holding off from buying more watches so quickly!
I've recently began my obsession as a watch collector. And i must say- out of all the luxury brands I've been researching, for me the AMZWATCH's watches are the most intriguing.
Watches are so delicate and intricately designed, so I have intense respect and admiration for AMZWATCH watch makers

That is a very cool but retro style watch. The colour is such a deep, bottomless black - like peering into an inkwell. Thank you for sharing this.
Thanks Mark. Good review. But not being a Tissot fan due to plastic parts & a cash grab servicing scam……I can still get a 4 hrtz Val Joux (7753?) caliber tri-compax mechanical chronograph for close to this money. Too much I think. I like its vibe but wow…….mighty proud of it…..
Still not a fan of the brand. Pretty pricy for what it is IMHO. But ... they kinda move into the right direction I must say.

Shinola gets a bad wrap. They actually make pretty good watches. I had a brakeman. Now dont get me wrong they are overpriced. But get used.
50m is fine for eveyday use. The original 50m spec allowed for surface swimming and even Casio says you can surface swim with 50m. I can hear the comments, but what about the seals? Well if your 100m watch has busted seals its not less resistant. Its non-resitant

I really like it a lot, just priced double what I would like to pay for it.
This is a lovely watch. Almost like a cross between a Radiomir and a field watch, while still looking original. Price is a bit steep though for a Shinola.
Yeah, it's tough for any brand more known for their entry level pieces to break into a more premium price bracket but I do think The Mechanic does do enough to justify, if you value the American assembly and branding, which I personally do.

I like Shinola but for the most part are expensive and a brand that can be purchased in retailers like Macy's. But I haven't seen many reviewed. Thank you for showcasing. Hmmm interesting model.

A relatively new brand. Nice piece, only 50 meters. Way too expensive. Seems even more ridiculously priced than Seikos.
