I’ve been watching your superhuman catapult shooting for years and must say it’s good to see you are human after all and having the same fishing blunders like the rest of us 😂 always a pleasure watching you mate and you’re enthusiasm 👍😂
Well John I'm glad you didn't hurt yourself too badly and it is safer with a pal on rock marks just be careful out there bud sea fishing can be dangerous!!! Good video and your lighting is making your videos better maybe get some studs for your boots though ehh they not that expensive and well worth it !!! Catch you on the next one bud
Cracking vid John and a stunning spot with the bridge in the background I fish a lot between Port Talbot and the Gower and come across all types of ground conditions. I give up trying to find boots to suit them all and finally accepted you have the footwear to suit the particular area. Expensive when you look at it but it could save your life
Another real class vid john mate.... I'd put that cracking bite down tona bass mate think it was to vicious for a conga. Keep em coming mate loving the content 👌🏻 👏🏻 😎🤘🏻🎣🎣🎣🎣🦈
Nice one mate heard that crack as you saved yourself on the rod butt and tripod glad all was ok fella, good to see you getting some good sessions in tight lines
That scream was just the ghost of falls, crabs and snags but you are only in trouble if you hear it.....bugger!..... but on the up side you beat your blank. Keep safe mate and avoid those dangerous marks on your own as we enjoy humour and the banter you bring to RUclips
I use hodgeman wading boots which have a removable sole. you can have rubber and studs, felt or felt and studs. I had them with stockingfoot chest waders from the glasgow angling centre on offer with packs of clip in soles. Felt and studs on slippery rocks work really well.
Enjoy watching your videos John time to invest in a pair of studded boots rock grip or something similar got a pair myself definitely work on dodgy ground.
You where very lucky there mate.. not to hurt yourself but your rod n tripod too.. but id even say the rod and your reactions saved you from a nasty sideways fall. I did chuckle though sorry. 😂 stay safe pal.
One thing i noticed about your fall... that icon pod certainly saved you! Your a big guy like myself and that took all of your weight... Main thing is, your safe! Hey, everyone knows im taking up golf now, ive got some spikes here. Definitely worth chucking the spikes on.
Its always surprising what you catch in the places where its brackish water, I fish in Christchurch harbour and at different state of tides I have caught carp, bream, roach, bass, dace, eels, flounders and sea trout it's always a surprise what you will catch. Just a thought for your safety why not just put a rope fixed to the rocks at the top going down to water so you have something to grab hold of, the guys do that up on the wye. Tight lines Joh and enjoy your videos.
Always a good watch John nice one you said and pointed to your right and said Britannia bridge that's Menia bridge Britannia to your left so the island is facing you just trying to suss the rock mark you are on , please take care fishing alone in dark on rock marks don't want to lose you mate
@@allenbrown8158 you know what buddy i think from now on I will, when u think about it logically your far more likely to slip on a rock into the water that fall off the boat
The Menai Straits is fed by Salt water at either end, so there is no freshwater in it at all, apart from rainfall and drainage from land. Which has very little effect at all. You're Welcome. 😂😂
The Straits has its fair share of small rivers & streams that drain in to it. Whether one end, or the other holds more fresh water, and effects the fish, I don't know! With the volume of water that floods and ebbs daily, from each end, it will take a more educated man than me to confirm our query.
@thatsabite was replying to angry squid not u haha.. think people don't consider how much fresh water enters these types of places... any level of fresh water can cause colour change and oxygen levels , or change water temperatures
Great session John… love it an no blank just shows you how easy it is to go arse over fair play to you m8 sticking it out 👍🏼🫶🏼
Cheers pal 🙌

Not brackish water, no freshwater in the straits other than what flows off the hills
It didnt happen, hes having you on! It was just a crab out of a snag 😂
Good things come to those who bait 🎣
You need to rap up in bobble rap as well as you're thermals 😂 🙏
Hahaha yes 🙌
ordered a new abu rod off ebay was delivered the other day but just had the exact same rod delivered again today by mistake bit strange
Well that’s a bonus haha
You want to take more water with it 😂
😂😂😂
Dangerous place to be on your own, caught plenty of small pollack and coalies from there when I was a youngster.
👍👍
Hope u are OK mate it's all the hours u put in mate stay safe who will teach me how to fish if u are out of action

Brilliant 😂😂😂😂😂
It a good debate we're fish r I was fishing other day and a fella said u add owt. I said no he said wrong place there otherside off bridge
May be you should bait up with a kebab. And you could catch the hungry Happy Hooker 😂
Haha would be the quickest bite in history!
The Happy Hooker don’t mess about with his food!
it just proves you should wear a life jacket on rock marks

Disagree
