- The K3L is used for the first time in its new state. Also on the good news, the m3 is back on and as good as ever. The 4700 might be out for good so that’s something. But yea, it’s the Sulloway special today. He refurbished both the m3 and K3L.
The fact that this engine was the star of the railroad, it’s very sad that she barely runs anymore. I remember seeing 302 every year whenever I went to weirs beach when I was younger in the mid to late 2000s. I think it was 2009 or 2009 was probably the last time I’ve ever saw 302 in service in person. Now, it’s very rare that 302 is ever in service nowadays. It was back when they had that water park near the arcades. I still remember seeing her like it was yesterday.
Yea I got jumpscared by her in 2017 or so. At least her horn is now infinitely better than it was back then.
The feeling is mutual though. I grew up with 958 and now that’s harder to see than 1186 was pre-1590.
With patriot, 302 could potentially become the main loco again. They do have a fondness for the geeps.

Nice. This engine is an old school gp7 from Rock Island so it’s not quite the same but it’s nice seeing the geeps live

@@bukasb ye. Personally I wasn’t the most fond of the 4700 but the m3 is the best horn on the line imo
@@coasternamegenerator5611 I used work at the paddle boats at Weirs Beach all summer, so it was nice to hear it on a hot day, little good luck charm 😂 they should put the 4700 on one of the locos that’d be a sight
@@bukasbfrom what I heard, when they were taking off the 4700, something happened to its mounting that got it all screwed up so idk if it’ll come back
