Love your excitement about completing a new DIY. I remember the days of being a new mom and having the need to release pent up creativity.

I LOVE this idea!! So.. I’m cheating a bit.. I was lazy & threw an old faux tree in my back yard for 5 yrs, because it drove me nuts & kept falling over.
But now I want a fake Sakura ( or flowered tree ) that drapes outward. So I power washed the tree & brought it back in. And I sorta did this! I drilled a hole in the top, and put a bag branch in the hole with wood glue. Now I’m taping the faux leaves & flowers to the real branches, while taping flowers to the original branches on spots that have fallen off.
So far so good! It looks EPIC! And no spider sacks were damaged during this process. I clipped them off ( the faux leaves they attached themselves to ) and put them in a safe area in my back yard. ( God knows I don’t want THOSE things hatching inside my house! )
That looks absolutely beautiful and so real! And it was so cheap to make?! It’s looks even better than the $300-$500 ones! Also, I love how Myla is just snoozing away on your shoulder she’s so cute!

I Love how the DIY tree turned out. It looks realistic. I actually have a real Ficus Benjamina tree in my yard that I got from my friend just out of a cut branch. And it survived and growing. That tree is cute!!!!

Such a great idea.. thanks for sharing. I was thinking lambs ear leaves would looks so nice too. I have a swag of it and the leaves look realistic. I looked it up and it is usually a bush or ground cover but i still think it would make nice tree leaves. :). Your baby is adorable 😍 💕

I was jest looking at a fake tree in a store wanted close to $300 honestly yours looks more realistic and a lot less money ! ❤once I’m done redoing my master bedroom I’m going to try a cherry blossom tree my place is Japanese style mostly thank you and new subscriber here

Hey just a question - aren't you worried that the original (real) tree branch is going to end up falling apart, because like essentially it's dead right? Just wondering :)
Really want to try this but I’m wondering how long I will be able to adore my DIY before it dies🤔?
We have had ours since we uploaded the video and nothing has withered. Over time it might become more fragile but once branches dry up a bit thats how they stay. If something bumps into it then those dry branches could snap off. Mine was already pretty firm. Its a fun DIY to do tho!
So this tree could cost more or less depending on the materials you use! Very cute!
Yes. We only spent $30 on the leaves from Michaels but I’m sure there is even more expensive looking ones elsewhere if that’s what someone wanted to do. Or you the dollar store could have some affordable ones. They might look less realistic tho. Maybe not!
What happens when the branch dries up, wont it start breaking up?
