- I took a colour blind test and found out that I'm actually color blind - here's my reaction as it happened. Did you spot numbers in the test that I didn't? Or did you notice I got any of them wrong? Leave me a comment - I'd love to know what you see differently to me!

For people who are worried after watching this video. Video compression basically ruins the color test. You can't take it via RUclips.

This is hugely depended on how wide the color space of your monitor is and if it's correctly calibrated. Crank up the saturation on an OLED panel and you will see it more easily.

I couldn't see anything on those 3 either. But I'm taken this test for myself and saw everything just fine.

I just took this test. It's best if you just put in your first impression. Agonizing over what you think you might see is just going to trip you up.
Also, check the settings for your screen. I did it on my phone, so I don't have much choice, but having a buggy monitor can definitely skew your results.
There's definitely something to the blue/grey/yellow tone thing. I struggled at times but did the test & my result was fine.

I'm definitely not 20/20! I've been wearing glasses since I was an early teen. My eyes tell me lies! x
I work at an optometrist office, and we don't focus as much on color blindness since it cannot be correct and we focus more on the prescription itself in correcting vision for distance and near etc. I took this test online and am struggling just like you are and found myself with tritanopia. There are different strengths of color blindness so if it doesn't affect your happiness, who cares right?! On trial #18 and 19 I don't see anything at all!
the problem with taking this version is that it can vary depending on the contrast and color accuracy of your monitor. most optometrists will use printed out tests which pretty much makes sure youre gonna get the most accurate results so long as the lights in the room have high CRI and are neutral
This made me wonder as I had two when I was like "ermmm" aha, so sweet to see how much more apprehensive you got as it went on 😄

I couldn't see half of them myself it was very hard for me and I don't think I'm colorblind
I mean tritanopia is really just color deficiency, means your don't perceive colors to be as vibrant as they are.
I came hear cuse I just discovered that I am colorblind with tritanopia and I got scared so I needed up here
I have Protanopia, which means I don’t see red at all, the ones that he said looked red, & were rly obvious to him I couldn’t see anything

Try the glasses! Unfortunately, EnChroma's test does not distinguish between tritan-OPIA and tritan-ANOMALY. If you have the latter, the sunglasses will work. (There are 4 videos of tritan-anomaly persons having their color vision improved.) If you "know" what yellow is (distinct from red and pink) then you most likely you have the -ANOMALY.
He clearly has tritanomaly and not OPIA. If he had tritnopia he would have failed a ton more, his colorblindness is clearly there but it's not that bad.

@@AlexTheMagix look at it this way, if you ever got glasses, you would only see more than you ever thought you could. Would be pretty bad ass to discover new colors! Most people have no idea what it’s like to see a color for the first time. It’s a very unique experience. Also I hear tritanopia is pretty mild, especially the way you tested. We all lose a little color perception as we age anyway.
1:40 was a four and there were a couple times when you said you thought it might be something but put nothing... the last one seemed to be a five

People need to remember that colorblind tests will always include one or two patterns that don't contain any numbers.
wasted 2 extra lives getting a heart attack cause i wasn't aware of that.
I actually was looking at those numbers, And some of them were hardly seen by me. Actually, Many of them were been thought by me that there was nothing. The green nine was like a light ball, And i hardly saw the nine there.

Nah you’re not colorblind, they’re just hard to see
If you do have any level of colour blindness, it will be irrelevant in normal day-to-day life. I will be interested to hear the results of your formal test.
In the meantime, you can try increasing your consumption of eggs :D

There's only one way you'll find out!
I actually have a rare level of color vision deviciency which is no deutan or protan or tritan or any of hose. I mean something much rarer than achromatopsia itself. My S cone is shifted to the L cone, And that means that my yellows are more green. My reds are more purple. My blues are more purple. My cyans are more green. I actually live in a green/pink/and purple world, With the color magenta too. I'm rare that scientists don't know that my color vision excists hehehe.

I'm suffering from it as well! Pick up a coloring book of something complex like a thanksgiving day feast layed out on a table with all sorts of fancy plating. I can't figure out which color goes where! Lot's of colors... I can't figure it out! I'm old and dumb now all of a sudden!
well this highly depends on your monitors brightness and color range plus the amount of saturation of your monitor and sich

You also mislabeled purple and a red as pink on a few occasions. I’m an artist though so I tend to discriminate color shades more effectively than the average person so do with that info what you will lol. The red was at the very least much more of a raspberry so while wouldn’t call it pink, I’m sure plenty of people would.
Fun fact: If you squint your eyes you can see what he sees.

So i can t really see the shape of .17 but i would guess 4, don t see 18 at all, 19, 21, 25, 26, 27.
There is no need to tell you if you're wrong, if you're not color blind, you're certain of the number.

I saw and didn't see exactly the same as you on every one of them... but also saw the rainbow colours clearly as you did. Guess I've got the same low level of cb as you too but I'm 69 so it's understandable :/
You have veeery mild colorblindness, it's not that bad really. I can tell because you had it hard to see the 5 at 1:19 and it was as clear as day to me, also because you could not see the next one very well and even though it was a very unsaturated green, it still looked clear to me that it undoubtedly was a 4.
