5:10 you have got to be freakin kidding me! He was going man! This is some amazing footage and very well edited. Quick to the point action. Great stuff Cole.
Never really knew about these off road rigs and hill climbs but thanks to your videos I've become a fan. Keep up the good work and stay safe on the trails!
i would be inclined (pun intended) to say that almost any tracked vehicle would scale that with no real problems, such as the M-29 weasel, or the bren gun carrier. Going at this sort of terrain with wheeled rigs is merely a variation on truck-mudding and monster trucking; its a show sport, and actually scaling 'bounty hill' would break the game.
Is it illegal to drive slowly in these competitions? I mean i don't know a whole lot about this type of motorsport, but it seems like everybody mashing on the gas makes it impossible for the tires to ever grip anything. Seems like if they would just be easy on it and maintain their momentum, it would be able to crawl upwards fairly easily.
You dont seem to realize how steep this really is. If you went there with some LR defender or a similar 4x4, even on low range gears, you wouldnt make it past the first boulders. This is just to steep and loose to rely on tyre grip. You need POWER!
It's too slick, there are a few guys who WERE running low tire pressure, if not all of them. That's why this is a bounty hill, in the desert this would be a cakewalk to bounce up.
yes your right, but these are rockbuggys, points to get to the top the fastest you can, to much of a air down would cause it to catch to much an rip the tire off the beads even with beadlocks bc these guys are fucking nutz haha
Quick question from someone not familiar with these vehicles - why rev the nuts off the engines? I was always taught when you're struggling for grip that you want low gears and creep without spinning the wheels, do these not have gearboxes with low enough gearing to do so? I'm imagining summat with a much smaller engine and a super-low range selector, just crawl up the slope
Seems like the buggy with rear steer has a hard time keeping it straight. Is it actually beneficial in this type of offroading? BTW awesome video as usual!!
Must be constructed solely from Homer Simpson's farm tractor. Seriously never seen ANYONE as rollover prone as this. Ever. Ever. Can't decide if I love it or hate it...maybe both. Lol
2002ZRX1200R ...no, they don't have enough articulation. The wheels of a formula offroad aren't able to travel vertically independent of each other to the extent of a built rig.
4 wheeler my ass! Watch a few of the videos this guy makes. Pay close attention to the angle of the vehicles. Then go to the motor trend channel and watch a few of the top truck challenge vids. The terrain is nothing compared to this and they move slow as Christmas. You will laugh your balls off at how often they have to winch up.
Christopher R your right chis video is deceptive on the angles and roots sticking out of the ground if ya don'thit a a hill the right way and somtime 'feather the clutch in an out your screwed . not to mention tire pressure to hi and kik back.
I'm not trying to hate on 4 wheelers. Without a doubt they do some amazing things. Think of all the stuff OstaCruizer puts his bikes through. That being said, even the best quad operators wouldn't dream of driving up a hill like this. Without a roll cage it would damn near be suicide.
The camera person is standing up and looking down, this makes the hill not look as extreme as it is, a good clue is how fast the slide back down when they let off. They wouldn't make it to the first obstacle trying to crawl.
its shocking the amount of people who think they can just crawl up it. these climbs are incredibly steep with loose slick terrain. wheel speed is what you need. and most of these guys don't air down too far because the tires are easier to cut at lower pressures. but please, anyone who thinks they can make it are welcome to give it a shot. ill even come up and film it for you
Ive been wheeling since I was born! yes this is crazy machines.....drivers make a difference. ..but you guys with claims "I could do this in my jeep!" I would love to come and see!
When the guy with the green roll cage uprighted himself and made the second attempt than rolled toward the spectators that started running for their lives, you could hear somebody yelling "Free Bird", but he should have been yellig "Godzilla", it would have went well with the actions of the spectators.
deal. only thing is that i live in Puerto Rico and it would cost me just that to bring my gl there if not more. ill post a video soon to let you think better next time you underestimate a subie in action. we have a deal?
stlchucko about this hill i can tell is no more than 4 tires can grip bring a car the way up (i live in country areas surrounded by mountains, actually my house is suspended by concrete columns on a side of a mountain, so i can really tell by the angle of the trees). you seems to underestimate the law of basic physics, having such big wide tires on a vehicle lighter than my subaru will only make the tires to push up the "crawler" when they bounce and also get less grip by reducing psi on the area ground.
luissubarurx Right.... That's why the one at 8:20 rolls down the hill sideways and the only thing keeping the nearest spectator on the side of the hill is the rope he's holding onto. Apparently you forgot the part in physics that your heavier subaru has gravity working harder against it. Also the fact that many of the rocks on this hill are taller than your tires; not to mention that your tires would likely never touch the rocks because of the shallow departure angles that your bumper creates. Instead of *claim* you could do it, go do it. The hill is still there, and still has a $10000 bounty on it. But you'll never attempt it because you are trolling.
5:10 you have got to be freakin kidding me! He was going man! This is some amazing footage and very well edited. Quick to the point action. Great stuff Cole.
Been watching your videos for about a year. This was your best yet.
Never really knew about these off road rigs and hill climbs but thanks to your videos I've become a fan. Keep up the good work and stay safe on the trails!
Brutal man!! Awesome video!! I love when they go to second and do the epic burnouts!!!
lmao! the guy that 12'oclocked it was epic!
I Swear That Damn Tree Saved Everyones Asses, Lol! :P
Best hill climb video I've seen in a while! Rock on!
Notice how all the drivers weigh 300lbs+. There is your problem. High center of gravity.
Y10Q lol, most of the drivers don't weigh near that
MadRam11 double that, like their cheeseburger right?

this is really unefficient but kinda fun to watch

one of your best vids yet MadRam11® Well done buddy :)
That's the good stuff I miss playing like that

One Very tough hill!
Great Vid MadRam11!
Huge props to the camera man! Another awesome video!
That was some serious carnage, great vid man!!
These trucks can't get up there.... but a dirtbike can :-D
you guys are my idles… I'm getting into one of these for sure one day. already got the buggie just need some crazy parts now lol my poor wallet
Made it up that hill in a Lincoln once..
thanks, glad you enjoyed it

most the competitions are also timed.
When in doubt, POWER OUT
where would be the fun in that

joão ribeiro I think you're right. It's always harder to tell depth and elevation in a video. Must need some kind of running start
is it just me or are these guys going about it the wrong way???
low tyre pressure+traction>high tyre pressure+no traction
i don't have a buggy, thats why i wrote the comment in question form, but no one has replied why yet so i suspect my comment is rite.
this is true. Give them some time they will figure it out. mean while I am laughing my ass off. (Trying again) hahaha...

Very cool. You got a tight group of friends. Wish we had something like this where I'm from.

Jake Hadley I'll agree my old Nissan I had 10 years ago would have crawled up it in 4 low and 5th gear
That is one badass hill! Anybody ever make it up on a 4 wheeler or dirtbike? It looks like you need climbing gear just to walk up it! Great video!
Seems like the buggy with rear steer has a hard time keeping it straight. Is it actually beneficial in this type of offroading? BTW awesome video as usual!!
Bad ass video. That hill is a beast!
Great visit Cole!
just love the screaming sound of a v8!!!
do you ever record the recovery's cause i would like to see how these guys get these rigs out of being stuck
no kidding! they guy that 12 o'clock'd it would be pretty sweet to see recovered!
wow these rigs are awesome, wish I had the money to get into something like that.
Holy crap. I've never seen so much breakage in one sitting! lmao Awesome!!!
I wish they wheeled like that over here...
I love the welding of all these climbers it’s so intricate
Heard that. Might be minuscule, it drives me cray though!!
The atmosphere sounds amazing!
Must be constructed solely from Homer Simpson's farm tractor. Seriously never seen ANYONE as rollover prone as this. Ever.
Ever.
Can't decide if I love it or hate it...maybe both.
Lol
These hills are ridiculously steep. Camera does absolutely no justice showing how steep these hills really are.
How do the engines sound so good
Bradley Guynes lots of horsepower and custom exhaust
Open race headers
Thanks I appreciate it
I need one of these just to park in my garage,,Don't even need a place to play with it,,Looks BADASS just sitting there :)
The blue one at 5:03 I think he live in Missouri. I have seen one just like his in Richmond.
Thanks for watching, I appreciate the support
Awesome video.....great angle.....nonstop action
Are there tire restrictions for events like this? Why not use spiked / studded tires and crawl up?
I love it i cant stop watching this
The Iceland guys need to come over and try this
2002ZRX1200R they don't have the articulation, if you're talking about formula offroad.
yep, they do need more travel, but I think they'd adapt well
2002ZRX1200R ...no, they don't have enough articulation.
The wheels of a formula offroad aren't able to travel vertically independent of each other to the extent of a built rig.
Thanx a ton!!! I'm still LMFAO!!! you made my day awesome thx!!!
Master piece Cole..Has there been a higher pay out b4?
not that I know of
Bobby so had that hill... how many transfer case's let go that weekend like 3?
love the people that think you could just "crawl" to the top. wheel speed is kep on hills like this.
Is there a consolation prize for best crash and/or rollover?
nope
I'm reasonably sure I could get up this hill on my 4 wheeler. What are the stipulations for winning the $10,000??
Raycefan lol, I would love to watch you try, video does this hill no justice what so ever
4 wheeler my ass! Watch a few of the videos this guy makes. Pay close attention to the angle of the vehicles. Then go to the motor trend channel and watch a few of the top truck challenge vids. The terrain is nothing compared to this and they move slow as Christmas.

MAYBE 1 IN 100 MAYBE
when does this take place? id love to come watch this
That guy at 8:50 didnt give a F***.... fire, whatever, restart and go again!! Legend!
A good Suby forester and it's good, no need big V8 and big tires like american do
do you realize how steep that hill is ?
TheCj71984
yes, i know truck like gmc/ford and chevy have a bad 4WD (not an AWD)
no fucking way a subaru would get up that hill lmfao it would bottom out so easily
i don't think so
wow a bubaroo
wont go more than n inch up that hill
thanks
I know it's steeper than it looks, but this looks like it could actually be really fun on an enduro bike.
sick vid man wooooo
Wonder if motorcycle could of made up all the rocks? Better chance I would think, but chances of get hurt are greater.
4 wheeler slowly lol
Every driver here: "I got this...I don't got this."
Insaniak another internet superstar......bring your jeep an get the 10 grand. Its easy. Lol
lol at the guys with the very expensive rigs that think that they can just floor it and think they will get up
I have so much respect for these men and their hard work, balls and monies spent.
Great video, thanks
What amazes me is how many of these people aren't wearing helmets. "It's all good, it's gotta roll cage!"
I love ur guys videos
Those things sure do like to catch on fire. Just adds to the fun I suppose..?

One question only....What stone under wheel?????I bielive, that can kill,it is incredible power and speed....And there is a lot of people......
no as I don't have time normally to do anything else but film
Let's all stand behind heavy machinery with wheels that are whipping rocks and dirt at us at 60+ MPH!
Sounds fun to me.
Like dodgeball only with rocks and more speed to 'em
God, I would LOVE to attend one of these.
Nice compilation. Awesome :-)
Ive been wheeling since I was born! yes this is crazy machines.....drivers make a difference. ..but you guys with claims "I could do this in my jeep!" I would love to come and see!
curious.. what psi are they running in tires? beadlocks.. just run them flat?
most run 3lbs to 12 lbs
"He dropped his Whiskey bottle!" hahahah
Great footage!
yes it did
Love this stuff!!
what kind of motor they using ????and what kind of axles??
What's the buggy at 1:40? Sounds amazing!!
I was there. It was awesome. For all you people badmouthing them with your know-it-all remarks, CRAWLING IS FOR BABIES!
What do you think the top speed of these would be on road
That became one expensive hill for many of the owners.
what did they do to it , just all the rain we had this yr?
When the guy with the green roll cage uprighted himself and made the second attempt than rolled toward the spectators that started running for their lives, you could hear somebody yelling "Free Bird", but he should have been yellig "Godzilla", it would have went well with the actions of the spectators.
Wow lots of flips and breaks on that hill! I agree with y2kxj. Should be named Chuck Norris Hill. lol
America ...... F@!& YEAH!
It's pretty dangerous to be standing so close, epic but dangerous.
that orange jeep was sooooooooooooooooo COOL
no it was blocked off
how much do these cost?
If that blue buggy had more power, he would have a really good shot at that 10 grand.
Hahaha last dude had a whisky bottle fly out of his car when it rolled over haha these guys are fuckin nuts i love it
the hill seamed like a steep treadmill with rocks on it
BADASS VID!
yeap! they're definitely crawlers. my 86 subaru gl would walk the way up without struggle. these sould be called rollers intead of crawlers.
I bet you 5,000 US Dollars you can't crawl up that hill in a 86 Subaru Gl
deal. only thing is that i live in Puerto Rico and it would cost me just that to bring my gl there if not more. ill post a video soon to let you think better next time you underestimate a subie in action. we have a deal?
luissubarurx The only underestimation going on here is your underestimation of how steep that hill is.

You don't get a good appreciation of how steep it is until you look up it
ahhh that guy who broke atlas t/case?? looked soo gutted he has a bloody impressive drive to get that far!
Awesome video
looks like our finest have had their mornin beer and bbq
