The sled needs to be turned around to have the curve facing outward, otherwise it just looks like a bunch of boards. And a wreath or ice skates (with decorative details) would look great hanging on it. 😊

Some snow shoes or ice skates might look nice on the sled. Or maybe a simple holiday sign that fits the look.

I found antique vintage skates at an antique shop for a few dollars. They're a beautiful blue with white laces.
And red “racing” stripes to tie it together with the red berries. 🌸🐝
So festive!! For the sled idea…..drape a plaid scarf around or over it and then take a pair of mittens or gloves on a yarn string (like little kids mittens usually are) and drape them over also….just an idea that I think would be so realistic.

For the toboggan, add red. A bow tied around closer to the top, a thrifted red scarf. A crimson bow. A wreath made from faux poinsettia leaves.
LOL I was going to suggest a winter hat (knitted pullon) with matching/coordinating mittens suspended via a stick on hook. Then, I saw that someone else had that idea, too! And I love the idea of skates hanging from it that another subscriber suggested!

I'm more rustic, so I loved your mom's front porch, esp. that simple basket w/ the red berry stems. The toboggan is a GREAT find, putting house numbers on it is an excellent idea, or a "merry Christmas" sign of some sort. The deer looked perfect browsing in your sister's front yard. But the black ornament balls, maybe it's just me b/c I'm not modern, but they reminded me of the bombs you see in cartoons; I can't get with the black. But that's the joy of different people having different ideas, right? Would be so boring if we all liked the same things! Wish I had a family member with your talents to style my porch!

I would make 3 snowflakes with white plastic clothes hangers, 2 children's - 1 adult's- then flock them and top with an ice crystal look glitter like the top of a fresh fallen snow. Use jute or natural rope to connect them hang down the front of the sleigh. Top with a scarf and mittens draped across the top and mittens off to one side one higher than the other.❤
I think you ought to put old fashioned mittens, a scarf,and and a winter sweater hanging off the sled with a clump of mistletoe!
My mom had a sled in front of her log home and hung some vintage looking ice skates. Was very cute!

For the sled I would do a wide velvet ribbon layered with a stripe or plaid and do a long simple bow combined with a kind of x made with the ribbon down and across the sled.
A simple large plaid bow!! Simple and cheap!!
Tie a big plaid ribbon with a great big bow around the sled with greens and reds and golds ( Christmas colors)

On your moms front door area for the sled, maybe a bow with a bunch of real pine branches coming down (like you would hang herbs) with some pine cones. Maybe cinnamon pine cones!

I would turn the sled around to see the toboggan, then put a scarf and skates draped off it❤
A leather belt "handle" for the sleigh would look great, like reigns.
For the oversized ornaments you could also decoupage balloons

I’ve liked the looks of the the curtain rods with the garland on the inside of homes. But your idea of putting it outside is perfect for my front. I have one of those entrances that are covered hallways before the door. Having the decorated hanging garland at the entrance will be a perfect welcoming look.

I would wrap a big red scarf in red and hang a pair of oversized mittens in green over that sled.
Ice skates with some Christmas greenery inserted in the skates or a swag of greenery with some large pine cones hung in front of the greenery all hung by a ribbon.

I'm just amazed at your beautiful hacks girl! For the sled (maybe lights, a Christmas banner, a pair of skates, a spray of fir stems with a bow and snowflakes/bells dangling).
I think the black bow gave that wreath more of a Halloween or funerary feel. Perhaps not the best colour for Christmas.
