    I made quite a few of soap sacks for Christmas and my family loves them. Great idea to do them for charity. The pattern I used was different but I'm really liking this pattern. Thanks for doing this for your community.

      Yep. This pattern is a great one. It's nice and simple. I crochet soap sacks too, both this pattern with just the hanging loop and other ones that have drawstring. This CAL is reakly what started you love for making soap sacks. They're so fun.

    I was also looking for something I could make for charity donation. After watching your video last night I called our local homeless shelter and they are looking forward to getting these. I am starting them today. Thank you so much. I’m going to start with 30 because they have 30 people in our shelter.

    Could you do a Soap Sack video? I have followed along but can't get one to turn out - yes I know.....they are simple right. I wonder if it is the yarn? It comes out with spaces in between the stitches versus nice and tight like all of yours :( Getting so bummed out because I want to help with this. I have been crocheting for 36 years so this is frustrating. Thank You For Your Help!!

      It needs to be 100% cotton because acrylic doesn't dry well and becomes too weighty when wet. I'm not a pro but all the tutorials I've watched on towels, dish clothes, wash clothes, etc., always say to use cotton. Hood this helped!💜💜💜

    I am concerned about the color running from hot water, which is used in the shower. I have made dish clothes and the color runs.

    • @louisesanto
      @louisesanto 5 лет назад +6

      To set the color, soak in 50% water to 50% white vinegar and 1 tablespoon of Epsom salts for about 20 minutes. Then rinse thoroughly. It works cause I experienced the colors running with Hobby Lobby cotton.

      Wendy, I dont have social media either, but, there is a website called Ravelry. It is a wonderful place to look for patterns and its free to make an account and organize all the patterns you wish to do. It might be helpful to join and hook up with Fiber flux there.
