I havnt seen the rainbow slime even once and I always have full assist on. I’ve run this over 100 times
Yeah I put full assist on and spammed this mission and in combination with all the runs I've done before i still haven't seen one
I found one within my first 10 runs, but it appeared at like 7s left and I couldn't get to it fast enough, haven't seen it since

I have never used full assist for this quest and had 6 spawns now. But I'll have to do some testing with Full Assist.

@@Vertical8you can it just doesn’t do anything, so it is technically “activated” you just still have to Manually fight like
You just can use a survival mission on medium difficulty and leave it with full support mode on afk farm. You won‘t get much xp and so on, but between every wave there spawn two slimepedes and sometimes even on medium there spawns a rainbow slimepede. Use a survival quest with a small arena so all can easily target the slime and you are good to go. Thats how I did it, and it works nice

Not a good plan, the drops are MASSIVELY reduced on lower difficulties

Ive gotten a few Prismatic Slimes AFK farming the Assault Formation level. Looked at my inventory the other day and saw 11 ingots and sigil things.
If you need Fortitude Crystals the revenge of the hordes quest gives you on average 30 LARGE ones for s ++ rating takes me about 3 minutes to complete each run
Also at proud unlocked you can get 8x L crystals at wood chests thats keep respawning at city.

@@ShyGuyJosh no, probably the system reflesh those chests every few hours. Not accurate the time, but when you get back from an quest, you can easily check if the chests respawned. On falco city as example.
I've had better timings on the other 2 Fortitude Crystal quests, Roost and Reign and Serenity Upon the Mount. Roost and Reign with good slow/para timings can kill 1 of the gryphons before it does anything and the second even spawns. I've had a group getting consistent 1:30 timings for a few runs. Serenity Upon the Mount I was consistently getting 3 minute runs with an AI team with barely any sigil setup, but I was playing Eugen.
The full assist thing was just your insane luck
I switched it to full assist after seeing this vid and the prismatic slime appeared on the next mission. Haven't seen it since. The RNG gods are indeed funny

@@starscream11216 difficulty setting only affects the campaign so the slime mission is a fixed difficulty, they just had mad luck. But if you’re trying to afk farm Assault formation is a good one.
Can confirm the slime is an extremely rare spawn. My buddies and I have managed to get 170+ standard slimes each run for over a couple hours straight and managed to get only one prismatic to spawn. We even managed to get 210+ a couple times to see if it could cycle the spawn sooner. Did not happen.
They can drop x50L Fortitude crystals in place of the ambrosia btw!
I'm not done main story yet, but was trying the AFK farm trick yesterday, doing the beginning Survival quest in the icy place (can't remember the name) I think in my 3rd or 4th attempt of doing the quest, I heard Vryn say the line, I looked up to my screen, and saw the rainbow slime! Though because it was Full Assist Mode, my characters weren't aiming for it 😅
I had it spawn for me twice in the assault formation mission. prob not optimal but it can show up if you're farming knicknacks there

lol just as you were talking about vryn's call out I spotted a rainbow slime in my game.
Have not made it far enough to try this yet but I did a few runs of a normal mission (beat as many enemies in time limit mode), hard mode on, no assist - got 3 rainbow slimes over 2 days.. in the realm of 10-20 total runs, in one run I even got two slimes.. not sure if this can help figuring it out
I got a spawn 2 Assault Formations in a row, no full assist mode, so I dont think there's a timer or cooldown of any kind. Got a third slime an hour or so later from Slimepede, and Im pretty sure it was in the middle area

Ive been playing with FA mode on the entire time and last night havent seen it spawn at all. Ill turn it of and back on and see if it works
I've gotten lucky one time and this guy spawn twice in one slimepede quest. My reward screen was so beautiful

I've gotten 3 prismatic slimes, none have been in slimepede, none with full assist. (Edit: all solo as well)
And something to look forward to: there is a Lydia trophy after killing 3 prismatic that rewards you with 3 ambrosia
When I saw ambrosia + 5 azurite splendors… I was shocked to the core, I need to do this.
Just did it and the rainbow slime appeared first time after turning on full assist. Crazy
I just got my first one after this vídeo. I tried a few times with the full assist on and off to see. Was it On when i got it, that bastard spawned in the last 5 seconds, but i was just in front of him in time to see the spawn and explode him to pieces.
But for me, the drop was a little different. He didn't drop the Mastery Item, he droped 50 Fortitude Crystals (L), i don't know if thats better or not but i was in need of that so i'm happy anyway
I kill a prismatic slime 3 times and it didnt drop any ambrosia, its a random drop from it?
Ok, maybe it's coincidence but there seems to be something to it. I reached maniac difficulty already some time ago but didn't progress further cause a friend is on holiday and we want to tackle progression together. So I'm just farming for mats a bit. I ran Slimepede yesterday for around 8h and had only 3 Rainbowslimes online and than saw your video before heading to bed. So I wanted to test it and started the game 12 minutes ago, turned on "Full Assist", went into the online lobby and the first quest was Slimepede and the Rainbowslime appeared right after finishing 2/3 of the objective. So thx for the video and I will definitely keep an eye to this method.

Tried it a few times, no prismatic slime.
I'm beyond upset that I had this thing spawn in some normal, hum-drum survival quest in hard or very hard. I can't remember what it is called, but it is the one at Seedhollow castle with all the elementals. It spawned right as time was about to be up. I had to put the game down for a little bit, I'm still a touch salty about it.
I had one spawn. 2 Seconds before the mission ended.

I turned on Full Assist last night and played for 4-5 rounds of slimepede. Got 1 Prismatic offline. I even farmed curios against the Goblin Warrior on Very Hard and got 2x Supplementary Dmg V and 1 IV+ in 15-20 Curios!? Coincidence? I wager to doubt
I switched on full asist mode and tryed this setup 5 times in offline and 7 times in online mode, I didn't get any prismatic.

It's a super rare spawn iirc. I only got one on extreme ship quest.

Im just gonna drop this here because its the newest video and some people still dont know how to see that you are hitting damage cap but you can see yellow SLASHES in your numbers thats meens you are hitting damage cap. it does not matter if the numbers are blue or yellow the slashes are always yellow.
The yellow numbers just mean that the enemy is weak to your current element, otherwise it appears blue. However, if you have the war element sigil on it will always appear yellow. it has nothing to do with damage cap.
@@stigstigger4278 im not talking about the numbers color there is an actual slash animations that is YELLOW in your Numbers if you are hitting the damage cap
Its not huge effect but its pretty much one diagonal line and two sideway lines on the numbers
@@stigstigger4278 im not talking about the numbers colors im talking about the small hit effect on the numbers that looks like SLASHES that are YELLOW thats how you can easilly see that you are hitting the damage cap and yeah yellow numbers are just that you are hitting the "correct" element
@@stigstigger4278 As the original comment states, they're not talking about the color of the numbers. They're referring to that slash/sparkel animation when the number comes out.

about the respawn timer: no it doesn have one...there was a time when i killed 20 bahamut and didn drop a single terminus weapon and i thought to myself "wait does it have a daily cooldown? that would suck" till i dropped another one that day.....same goes for slimes....ive been farming ( with no assist mode) for about 8 hours straight and got 3 slimes to spawn....ppl may think is it worth it? well...if you want to max out all of your parties sigils "quickly" and are patient enough....go for the slime farm....if you hate frustration and burn out fast and on top of that only want 1 character to be maxed out because you play in team 24/7....dont do the slime quest....i had a session with one of my friends where we grind the full night (about 10 hours) straight with 0 slime to spawn

I got and fully awakened my terminus weapon for my main and like 10 other terminus weapons and even war elemental before I have seen 1 prismatic slime lmao
I tried aswell countless farming allmost 200 slime per run and then I tried full assist mode and then it spawned. Thank you for this! Nice find!

Just an FYI: The rainbow slime can appear anywhere. Also, drops depend on lvl of the quest. I got it on a very hard quest and got only 50 vouchers
Didn't work for me unfortunately, haven't caught a glimpse of the prismatic slime in this quest yet, only got one in the battle ship quest on Extreme, which should be even harder do get since there's so few slimes showing up there, but guess it's just down to luck, but I could definitely use those drops 😅
Well I don't know if it helped or just got lucky but yesterday I farmed whole day with other quests in between and didn't got a single one but today after puting assist on I got 2 in 5 runs so thanks anyways ^^
It worked for me
I dont believe there is a timer, the first time me and my friends did the mission we got it and the second time we got it again (we didnt kill it in that run tho) so we got it back to back
I have runned this mission now around 100 times with average 180kills per run and only got it once (on the run that I got it I had full assist on so it might actually be the case but its not full miracle buff...still had plus 20 runs before I got the slime after turning full assist on)

which character are you using to farm it? I struggle to get to 100.
@@zamboni06 Eugen, for me i can one shot the normal slimes with out going to sniper mode so I just run little bit over thr center closer to the other wall where the rainbow slime can spawns and just spam normal shots. I usually just watch RUclips while farming.
I think rackam might be better for pure farming but i main Eugen so I already have him build
@@vaeiskiieugen is better with the beam and some cdr sigils. It clears almost entire room everything you cast it if you know how to aim it

Been farming for a good 10 hours and i've never seen one spawn no matter what i try or do
BROOOO FIRST TRY I GOT THE SLIME
I've done about 5ish hours total of slime farming and I've seen about 6 or 7. I feel like they have a better spawn in multiplayer tbh but it's all rng so it's hard to tell. It's pretty quick to just spam open sessions on it and it feels nice to help out ppl who have trouble with it on their own. I just run Io as stargaze is pretty good at clearing normal slimes and I can drop a big one on the prismatic to guarantee it dies.
No idea how you've seen it that much, I ran it for 2 hours with an avg of 200ish dieing per run and never saw it
I switched on full assist mode and ran slimepede online, the prismatic slime spawned on my first attempt with less than a minute left on the timer. Not sure if that means anything, but it was a surprise!
Calling cap. Full assist mode cant be turned on in maniac or above unless you're on pc using outside game stuff to do.

Interestingly, I ran the mission another 4 times and had two more spawns, missed out on one though as it spawned with two seconds left on the clock.
I did not expect this to work as well as it did, I ran the quest twice after turning on full assist mode, and it spawned on both of them. Thanks a lot. Definitely gonna see how well this holds out in the long run though.

I farm the assault formation quest a lot and today it spawned 3 quests in a row for me on the second wave of slimes that spawns. I did not hav full assist or assist mode on. im pretty sure its just pure luck
I have run this for a collective 7 hours with 130+ kills every time. Have not seen even a single one. I just want it for the journal entry.
Do the amount of kills matter?
No it doesnt can appear at 40 or 150 kills so its random the rainbow one appear instead of a king one so just when those appear can the rainbow appear too

I've watched 3 videos on this thing and I've seen it in the videos but im still not convinced that it's real. I havent seen it at all after 3 hours of grinding this quest. I hope someone finds some real way to make it spawn faster otherwise it remains as real as Bigfoot for me lol
I've never seen one. Tried this method and over an hour of farming, I still got jack shit.
here on ps5 there is no way to do it on maniac
as to internal cooldown - no, there's no cooldown - i had back to back 2 rainbow slimes spawning in a 2 runs
1 second before the timer went out, vyrn said the line and Im just sad

How are people doing this full assist mode on maniac? Dont get that option on PS5
They do not, video is puting on a big tinfoil hat of putting assit mode when assit mode doesn't do anything for maniac and doen't have to do anything with drop rates to begin with.

You get them after completing the main story you gotta go to lyria journal and accept them in the trophy section
It’s so funny because my friends farmed this for hours yesterday and got 1 and I did one run (and just happened to have full assist mode because I keep it on since I afk farm) and low and behold I got it first try
I got a rainbow slime to spawn the very first run too (closed quest run with 3 CPUs). Very interesting.
Slimepede for me disabled Full Assist Mode because it's in Maniac difficulty, so this doesn't work. Edit: Nvm the FAM is disabled but it still works anyway in getting the prismatic

What’s quest is this
When i first unlocked Maniac difficulty, i decided to try running Slimepede. I was around level 65 and had no assists, the prismatic slime spawned at around the last 20 seconds on the timer but i could not kill it since i was too weak at the time 😭😭
edit: just did some runs with full assist mode and did not see prismatic slime, i have not ran Slimepede in a long time before this, and i am full level 100 now
edit 2: finally got one after about 30 runs....
I can't imagine why they would add a rare spawn, then have a button that reduces the rarity 🤓
How do you guys even kill that many slimes? I’m struggling to even kill 40.
They only take high dmg from critical hits, so get your crit rate and attack as high as possible.

Looks like I can’t do full assist mode on Maniac difficulty? It turns off on Extreme. Was this is the most recent patch I guess?
He's saying enable it as a setting, but don't expect it to autofarm. That being said, it does not affect slime spawn rate, so don't bother.

not sure if anyone has covered this yet but i was just farming the assault formation survival quest in extreme and the rainbow slime just spawned in the third set of slime spawns, also a great place to get rafale coins to train for exceptional refinium for weapon upgrades.

I actually had two spawns in one mission. Been running extreme assault to AFK farm since I needed Curio boxes for War elemental.
Suddenly at the start of the mission it spawned and I rushed to it to kill it. Then in the last 10 seconds of the same mission, Vyrn said it again and I only managed to scrape it with a few hits.
I too was on full assist mode for that, but I don’t think it is related. Just really rare anytime other slimes can spawn.
I had it spawn in 3 out of 5 runs I did back to back, so there isn't that kind of cooldown in place.

nothing wrong, won't be enabled on maniac/proud but the theory is it acts behind the scenes even though its maniac

I just tried this 4 times on last boss , 4 weapons I got on first try after reloading, so it’s true
Edit , maybe is not 100% right because it stopped at the 7th weapon, still I got 7 back to back , I already had 6 before this video, and today I already have all terminus weapons, thanks for the tip
