  • When former Liberal staffer Brittany Higgins came forward to allege that she had been raped in a ministerial office in Australia’s Parliament House, the country was horrified.
Ms Higgins described feeling that her calls for help were stifled by expectations of party loyalty and this sparked a national discussion around sexual harassment and assault in politics and condemnation of the culture of Canberra.
A Parliament House security guard who was on duty the night Higgins alleges she was raped has spoken out in an exclusive interview with Four Corners.
Nikola Anderson found Ms Higgins not long after the alleged incident.
She’s told Four Corners she was shocked at what she saw.
