Fabby performance, just the right amount of Rubato. This piece lends itself to going totally over the top on such things but this retains subtly, gets through the piece appropriately quickly to maintain the melody but without a hint of being mechanical. Really enjoyed it

And, what about the location? The wonderful TEATRO OLIMPICO of ANDREA PALLADIO in VICENZA, the "little Venice of the mainland" as it is called by Venetian people.
Just started this piece and this is really the only version I could find how I would want to play it, you really just know how to play that left hand so beautifully, and that is so much more difficult than it sounds haha. Going to take me a lot of practice. Thank you for this video.

I think, with only this one song (op.30 no. 6) Mendelssohn is one of the greatest composers. I immensely admire him.
He's very underrated. Very versatile composer, indeed, many sided musician: composer, conductor, pianist, pedagogue, critic.
My favorite song. I've played it so many times when I was young, when I was sad, when I was happy, afraid... I really love it so much!
