@@trashcan5359 in the lore, those curses were defined to be unforgivable by a minister that is almost universally regarded as the most incompetent in history. So, I'd just chalk it up to one dumb guy getting one more thing wrong.

Little fun fact: In the old games there are chocolate frog cards not only to a possible ancestor to Poppy, Havelock Sweeting, a unicorn-breeder who loved these majestic beasts, but also to Tugwood, whose oinment actually worked!

After doing an overhead slam attack, the troll is temporarily stopped. If you cast Flipendo, its club will smack it in the head.
I think that "Rest easy, my large friend" is a reference to 'The Princess Bride'.
It was good to see the battle arena... thanks for sharing that. You know... there IS a dark arts battle arena where you can use the forbidden curses without actually learning them... or it unlocks them for you to practice with them in that fantasy arena. I'm not sure how it works... but I've seen it done a couple of times now.
Hi Miranda the LOL in the title was so appropriate for this episode, when you cast levioso on the cow and then Sacharissa Tugwood, I literally had to pause the video until I stopped laughing I had tears from laughing so much. For the record Ellie Pecks accent is a London accent, there are a few dialects in London. All my family come from London, so I know the accents well 😊
I love how Miranda always says “Nothing” in a ‘hiding something’ voice when the floo lady asks her what she’s up to😂

Toads do love pets. There was one living under the root of a tree in the woods were we went for walks every week. I found it as a child when looking for fairies😆 I came out when I talked to it and kind of hummed contentedly when I carefully stroked it. I called it "meep" for the sound it made. It was there for about a year. ❤
The battle arenas were the toughest part of the game for me. Using the unforgivable curses helped a lot - instant death to trolls with Avada Kedavra was a godsend. Well done on completing without the curses

For anyone curious I believe the cow tipping achievement is flippendo 10 cows or a cow 10 times. Its interesting how many answers to the quiz can be found in the world around you e.g the tree in hogsmeade mentions hengist in its revelio page.
That "Exactleeh" took me out also when she said it. Gave me a 5 second wheeze.
Quidditch Through The Ages and Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them are pretty great supplementary readings for the lore. You learn a fair bit about multiple beasts that we never seen/read about in the original series.
This is why I’m glad to be a Hufflepuff. After seeing how Hufflepuffs are overlooked in the series, it got me interested in seeing how many famous wizards and witches were Hufflepuffs. To my surprise, Hengist of Woodcroft and Newt Scamander were both very noteworthy Puffs. As such, I decided to have a look at the Fantastic Beasts book to show my support. I thank Ms. Franklin, though, for piquing my interest in Beedle the Bard’s fables.
@@nickbritt1145 Hufflepuff has great qualities that bring put a lot of food folk. I'd love to see a series based on a Ravenclaw at some point to show how wit and cleverness can be used in ways outside the world of academia.

What what I have read about animagus is that you tend to turn into whatever your patronus is.
The arenas are only good for practice and getting you kill achievements done.

That battle area was something. The final wave was crazy but even though it was ALOT I absolutely loved it. I think it def helped my battle skills and I'm getting better at switching between spell sets. (I'm on PC)
Also: I think trolls are my least fav enemy.

The Patronus charm is specifically used for Dementors and Lethifolds. I believe it is mentioned in either the PoA or GoF books. Maybe one of the later ones but not too sure. All of the answers to the second round of questions can be found in the Field pages you pick up through out the game or by overhearing NPC conversations around Hogwarts or in Hogsmeade
That Arena battle was insane. Excellent job on aceing it the first time. Super impressive skills.

I like how you use a variety of spells and movements in combats, making them look so fun and dramatic.
Many youtubers or streamers I saw just keep spamming basic spell or ancient magic throw over and over again.
Also after blocking the troll's club attack, you can use Flipendo on them to make them hit themselves. It's really helpful against trolls since it deals significant damage.
You mentioned liking her accent, she’s from London! There’s so many regional accents in England alone here in the U.K. so I’m not surprised you can’t place it 😅 I have trouble placing some myself sometimes and I’m actually from England hahaha

23:20 Yes one of the first things I did upon getting the mission was getting every Demiguise I could because I hated being locked out of stuff, I feel like we should get it sooner actually cause we can't explore the castle without it or Hogsmede and so many things are locked behind them like the Depulso puzzle in the long gallery hallway can't get to it without it.

On the topic of potions Felix felicis is super helpful for finding chests. They show on your mini map which is great for the castle, hogsmede and hamlets so you don't miss any. They last for one full in game day and even show chests that hide in dive spots under water
The battle arenas really show how much more powerful your character gets over the course of the game. I did the North Ford Bog arena at level 26, used every Wiggenwald potion I had and I was on basically no health for the last 5 enemies. Most intense fight I've done in a long time, so I waited until level 40 before doing this one, and found it laughably easy.
A Lethifold is a magical creature taking the appearance of an ordinary full length cloak. It typically hides in an inconspicuous spot, such as on a coat hook or in a wardrobe, until it’s prey, Humans, have gone to bed and fallen asleep, at which point it attacks, wrapping them up as though they were wearing and devouring them. On a side note, the material of the Lethifold is noted to be slightly thicker if it has recently fed, but this is unlikely to be of much, if any, help, even to the most paranoid witch or wizard.
Since Lethifolds are, like Dementors, amortal beings, and as such cannot be killed by any known spell or weapon, the only way to survive an attack by one is the Patronus Charm. Once again however, it is unlikely to be of any assistance given their hunting methods. Best just to cast it on any robes you may be suspicious of.

It's kind of weird and odd how excited Sebastian was to cast the Cruciatus curse on you, his new friend like 🥲 you wouldn't hurt us right buddy, we are friends you know maybe we had a little something something building you wouldn't cast that curse 😳 what are you doing, as he aims his wand at you "I won't forget this." 😶 Sebasi- *he casts the spell* CRUCIO! 💀 like he really said he wasn't sure he could cast it, he undersold it, he fully well knew he could and boy howdy did he and in front of his best friend too! Thank goodness Ominis cared so much about us, he checked on us right away but Sebastian was a little slow to ask you know 🥲 it's fine it's only excruciating pain to the point you rather choose death, nothing too crazy you know, nothing a Wiggenweld potion can't shake, perhaps that is what Professor Sharp was referring too during our first class

If you haven't tried it yet, use the transfiguration spell on some wild animals; the developers definitely had some fun with it. The talent upgraded version is great for combat as well.

Going into a shop and asking for tugwood cream would be an adventure. I don't know how you managed to stop yourself from saying giggity, you maintained your composure pretty well.
Worst part is that her cream works, she has a chocolate frog card in Harry's time as a famous creator of beauty and cosmetic potions.

One thing people both in the wizarding world and the real world misunderstand is that you don't actually have to want to cast an unforgivable curse for it to be successful. You just have to mean it. To intend it. It's the difference between murder and killing in self-defense. In both cases it was intentional, but in the case of self-defense the desire is often not there.
The evidence supporting this is quite plain in the seventh book. We find out through Snape's memories that Snape didn't actually want to kill Dumbledore. He intended to for the sake of protecting Malfoy from the burden of a damaged soul, because he was under an Unbreakable Vow, and because Dumbledore literally told him to. But he had no desire behind it. We also learn in that book that Voldemort was forcing Draco Malfoy to use the Cruciatus curse on Death Eaters that failed to capture Harry. In one such interaction, Voldemort says "Draco, give Rowle a taste of our displeasure. Do it or feel my wrath yourself." That implies that Draco was incredibly uncomfortable with this type of work, that he would've rather been doing literally anything else, and was only casting the spell because he was understandably afraid of feeling that pain himself. If he actually wanted to cause pain, Voldemort would not have had to threaten him.
We also know from the Goblet of Fire that someone under the Imperius curse can be forced into casting an Unforgivable; Krum cast the Cruciatus curse on Cedric Diggory while under Barty Crouch Jr.'s Imperius curse.
In the case of Sebastian, I highly doubt he actually wanted to cause pain to the MC. He had our back in the restricted section, and he was even willing to suffer the pain himself. I think we can all agree that short term pain, however extreme it is, is preferable to the drawn-out pain of starvation and dehydration. So in his mind, his desire to save us all from an even worse fate overrode his misgivings about causing or experiencing temporary pain to one of his friends.

I loved how she enters the Beast shop, exclaims she hasn't been here before and wants to 'donate' excess rescues. When she leaves the shop, she has made a bunch of unplanned purchases, and never turned over a single creature. :)
