Disengage FTW!

Hi all,
This is a highlight reel of Isaac Lak in the most recent Canada Cup. Besides appreciating some sweet hits, we hope this video helps illustrate how to use a disengage (when you know the opponent's parry), as well as the path the arm should be traveling in. The arm should move almost identically to its trajectory during a straight hit, with the disengage coming from the activation of the fingers, not the wrist or shoulder. Notice how after simultaneous or non-scoring actions, Isaac (on the left) uses past information of what just happened to inform his next decision. We're super stoked we caught this on film!
