Hi Trey, we are very grateful that someone with your experience appreciates our product, happy that you liked it and see the AK in your hands. On behalf of the AK family thank you so much. your work is impressive and happy that your channel continues to grow. congratulations Trey
So many macro photographers out there are obsessed with just showing very detailed pictures of insect body parts. Your pictures put a better context of how you would see insects in nature if you were just obeserving them with your own eyes but way closer than your eyes will let you! Really great pictures, man!
Trey, you are very talented and the video is excellent in explaining your technique. I have a question about focus. you indicated you use manual but in a lot of your shots your hand is holding a branch or grass while the other holds the camera. So how do you focus? Do you have it set at a certain number of inches and then just move in till your target area is in focus?
Your work is absolutely stunning. Well done video also. Very impressed with the striking use of context which nails the point of most great photography, that being the story.
I first found your channel looking at DIY diffusers. A little over a year ago I got the AK diffuser and like you I really enjoy it. Thanks for the videos.
You're one of my favorite photographers to learn from. Seeing you review this diffuser when I'm currently waiting for mine to arrive made my whole day! I'm even more excited now. Thank you!
Thank you for the great review. I have been shopping for a diffuser and your amazing photos have me leaning to the AK. I’m a beginner but just love macro insect photography.
Trey, it's good to see you move up to the AK diffuser. Since I bought one, I threw away all the other diffusers and never looked back. What a game changer. Worth every penny.
Great acquisition, Trey. I picked up an AK a few months ago, and love it. I used to have a setup with an articulating arm attached to my camera holding a flash with it's own light modifier attached. It was heavy and clunky, almost impossible to hold steady with one hand. The AK makes it a much lighter and compact system. The results are fantastic.
Hi Trey, I really appreciate the fact that you shown also how great are the results with single exposures also. This is very encouraging for the ones that are beginners in handheld stacking. Awesome work!
Been watching your videos for a while and this one helped me to make the decision to buy the mini. I already have a larger one for my bigger flash. THANK YOU.
I found your video while doing some research on this diffuser. As someone whose been chasing insects for 25 years, I feel your pain. I've tried so many diffusers, bought and DIY, I'm thinking of trying this one. Well done, thanks.
I ended up going with the cygnustech (which is pretty similar in a lot of ways) and am really happy with it. The AK is super legit too though. That raynox holder is cool. I didn't know it had that til your video. I'm excited to catch more stacked photos on your insta! Great video as always man!
Nice ! It took me a minute to realize you are stacking most of your images. That diffuser seems to have helped you out alot. Im looking at a neewer z2s flash right now and I think Im pretty sold on this AK diffuser. I use a laowa 100mm f2.8. That raynox adapter you have makes surprisingly good images
and not sure everyone appreciates this but, you see Trey laying on the ground or squaring up for a photo but FIRST, he has to find the insect/spider, set up the off angle camera and then do the shot...I love it
Wow, great video…. You take some awesome photos! I’m seriously thinking about getting some macro gear and trying this myself! Question… what camera and lens are you using? I have the Nikon D850
I'm glad to see you upgrading your rig. That extra light transfer is going to really increase the success of your stacks, which are already incredible. Now that it is official, you need to start tagging your Instagram photos with the AK. Now that I know you have been using it since July, I went back through your amazing Instagram page and looked at your photos. Simple incredible. HUGE fan!
I appreciate it🙏🏾🙏🏾 all the photos on my ig right now were took with my old diffuser. I haven’t posted any that were took with the AK. I’m very behind on editing, this video and the photos in it were filmed/shot in early July and I’m still editing pics from that month. This is just the beginning, all of my upcoming macro videos will have some of the best shots I’ve ever took so stay tuned.
Very good video and good accessory for macro. Did you take the AK for the Olympus or Nikon? I still have a good understanding of how to remove problems in Focus stacking in Photoshop. I see your video but it is complex
With my Olympus setup, I don’t use the focus ring on my lens. If I want to readjust the scene by zooming out or in, I just switch my camera to autofocus and once I get the scene I want I switch it back to manual.
Flash Godox V350 or V860 III with lithium battery for fast charge time and Olympus Shooting Menu 2 > Focus BKT (Focus bracketing) > Flash Charge Time 0.1 sec

I couldn’t believe I got that one either. Easily one of my favorite shots this year

I have it for my Olympus camera
Nice photos Trey! I´m thinking to get one of those difusers, After 5 months testing it, What do you think now?
Thank you 🙏🏾🙏🏾 my opinion is still the same, love it and I still highly recommend it
the spider at 3:34 Trey, superb! so, guess I should break down and get one...how long was your wait?
The shipping was fast. I got mine in 2 days
Hello, what camera do you use and what lens? Can I do this with a Sony a6700? Where can I buy this diffuser? Thank you.
Olympus em5 mark 3 with a M.zuiko 60mm lens. I have a link in the description to the akdiffuser website, that’s where you can buy one
Hello! Does the diffuser bother you when you want to adjust the focus ring?
With my Olympus setup, I don’t use the focus ring on my lens. If I want to readjust the scene by zooming out or in, I just switch my camera to autofocus and once I get the scene I want I switch it back to manual.
Brother, tell me which camera model is this and also the lens model, thanks

@@Xx7trey thanks I'm Waseem from Pakistan 💕
How do you stack without tripod?
It’s all about the technique honestly. I have another video that goes in depth with handheld focus stacking
pls teach me how to set the camera & flash to get X/fps
For focus bracketing? They key is to just shoot with a lower flash power, between 1/64 - 1/16 power

Chasing mostly dragonflies during daytime I can sympathyse SO much how frustrating it is when they fly away for the 100th time.
Oh yeah it’s very frustrating. I don’t even try to approach dragonflies anymore unless I find one on a cool morning
