I bought one of these YEARS ago and still use it to this day. My daughter is addicted to boiled eggs with butter in the mornings and when she got married and left home she tried to steal my Nordic ... I told her I'd take her to Walmart and get her another egg cooker, but she COULDN'T take my Nordic!!! LOL We love this thing! The ONLY things I don't like is trying to get the lid off after cooking (it can be tough), and the fact you can only do 4 eggs at a time.

I had diiferent instructions for the same device. The top twists on and off rather than push the top on and then try to pull it off. I then heat it on high for 8-10 minutes, let it sit for 8-10 minutes. After that, I wet my fingers in cold water and twist the top off. I run it under very cold water for 5 minutes. As it states in the Amazon reviews, the eggs come out perfect after a little experimentation
I have virtually the same product and the lid just Sits on mine and I'm not thrilled with it .
i've been following you since about 2-3 weeks and you're hilarious! I find myself counting 1-2-3 everytime i need to do something. Going into the shower? 1 -2 -3 GO.

Take the plunge and get the instant pot if you haven yet 😉 it's perfect for eggs! You definitely have to read the book on that one haha and watch a couple RUclips videos so you feel comfortable using it. Two minutes with a quick pressure release then into an ice bath is perfect for soft eggs.

I love my egg cooker like this I think its cute, and I usually let my eggs sit for a few minutes. I mean really do you put your hand in boiling hot water? I wouldn't waste my money on any other gadget.

I have successfully used the Nordic Ware Egg Boiler ever since it came on the market. My microwave is 1250 watts. Perfect eggs: 7 minutes for soft cooked, and 12 minutes for hard cooked. Note: Never smash a soft-cooked egg. Stand it upright, slice off large end, eat with spoon. I give it 5 stars.

i wondered if you could do me a favor and test some of the tv antennas they advertise get a bunch of channels, i need a new antenna and don't want to buy more than 1 :)
too many complicated egg cookers when eggs are pretty easy to cook.

Hard-Boiled eggs need to cook for 8 minutes, then allow them to sit for 5 mins before cracking. You should put them in an ice bath after removing from the microwave. I use mine all the time and it makes perfect eggs every time.

Vivian dear, there is nothing wrong with how the egg cooker works it was the amount of time that you left it in the microwave. Perhaps if you did it again for 8 or 8 1/2 minutes you will have your perfect soft boiled egg.

cook for 8 minutes..wait 2 minutes for it to cool before removing top..I put it in the sink and run cold water over it before removing top

It looks like it would take about as long to use that thingy as it would be to put them in a pan with boiling water. I don't really see any advantage to it. Unless of course your range is fully busy.

I don't get why would someone buy this if in the same time you can just boil your eggs in normal pot. You don't even use less water for this.
Because like cooking rice in the microwave you can walk away without watching it and it will turn off and keep the eggs warm while you do the toast juice and coffee :D. In saying that I assume it will keep cooking with the residual heat as well. Cheers

The metal prevented microwaves actually cooking the Egg, Instead microwaves boiled the water, A clever device if it had proper safety features, Not worth getting burned or that thing slipping and falling trying to move it.
I had one of these along time ago that I haven't found sense we moved but the top just sat on it so there was no problem getting it off and there was a water line inside that was not even close to 11/2 cups and you were supposed to let it sit for 10 minutes and when I took it out of the microwave I sit it in the sink and ran cold water on it so no problem with getting burnt AND what I liked to use it for because it only holds 4 eggs is egg salad or eggs for a tossed salad and you don't have to heat up the kitchen it made perfect HARD boiled eggs and as far as how long it takes I started the eggs first and by the time I got everything else ready they were ready to peel SO I can say I really liked it I just wished I could find it LOL

Metal is only dangerous in the microwave if it's exposed. If it's completely covered in plastic or something, it's safe.
