Jaime explains the "Eee" scream exercise (as taught to him by Jim Gillette). This is the one voice strengthening exercise that Jaime uses when preparing for glass breaking television shows and is useful to develop those high metal screams. The full explanation (and video) is available in his book "Raise Your Voice" at thevoiceconnection.com

Anselmo's top notes and most of his higher screamy notes(like on the Rock The World chorus for example) were falsetto ...Sometimes you can't really differentiate his falsetto from his other high mix singing but if u listen to live bootlegs from the early days you can tell when hes in falsetto ..Reinforced falsetto is more of something that King Diamond does and that's when you try to force resonance into falsetto and blowing up alot of air to make it really thin and witchy sounding

I was trained by Jim Gillette and Elizabeth Sabine, who both applied classical technique to rock vocals, so I would say I have simply modified classical technique to rock and pop;)

head voice and falsetto arent the same thing...the reason peopl think they are the same thing is cuz they both resonate around the same area in the head falseto is a breathy very airy tone and has limits dynamic wise and head voice has a more fullerand richer tone

how would you describe phil anelmo's high notes on early pantera albums? it seems like a head voice/falsetto hybrid type thing. would that be like a reinforced falsetto?
