There is no doubt that SNF gave a new lease of life to disco but there were many great disco albums between 1974-80. It was no doubt the biggest soundtrack of disco.

Snapshots and film clips can't do justice to the lived experience of 70s nightlife, this mix, however, does a damn good job of passing on the sound and soul of the time. Honestly, John Travolta should only come up if one is thinking how the rock and roll / sports industry tried to sabotage music during the 70s, Saturday Night Fever and Urban Cowboy both very nearly killed their respected music genres.
