Alex = Encyclopedia of Electronic Repairs... 👍👍👍👍
I'm guessing the reason why injecting voltage before or after the coil makes it difference is because the coil can take the load. Very informative video Thank you so much.
A coil is basically a very thin wire, and the part that gets hot is always the component with the highest resistance. So if the short on the capacitor is really low resistance, the coil might be higher resistance and thus taking most of the power that is being injected. Injecting after the coil means the coil is no longer part of the circuit and the component with highest resistance is now the shorted cap
Yes, I believe it too because the short is not so "strong" so the coil resistance would absorb the heat.
Science people increase the volume 😎

One of the trickiest things for me in those repairs is to know where to inject voltage. That's why you need experience. The thermal camera is a K9 but you need and one trained officer to complete the job. Well done!
Only an expert like you Alex, can repair such complicated problem.Very well done.
I really enjoy watching your videos and it inspires me. I've been doing easy repairs since I was 12 years old but now that I'm 18 I was looking for something challenging and came across this channel. I went to your first video and have now seen all your videos which has inspired me to be able to do this too. so I'm now waiting for my stuff to be delivered so I can practice it too. I guess I'm not the only one and want to thank you for that.
Sincerely, Bjorn Schelfhorst
(sorry, but my english is not my best)
The knowledge you share is priceless! Thanks for the videos!
I do not work on phones and tablets... but this type of high temp solder is showing up in Audio equipment now too. Thanks to you I am better equipped to repair multilayer boards properly. Have had much better success since following your videos. Thank you.
Good job Alex. Always learn something new. Thank you, and keep up the good work
The knowledge you share is priceless! Thanks
I really enjoy the insight and methodology you use to find the exact component to replace. :)
Another successful repair story, bravo Alex, thanks for sharing.👏🌹
Another great lesson using voltage injection and a thermal cam. Thank you showing the how, what & why. Always learning. Grateful for you sharing your experience.
I just want to say thank you. I have always been interested in soldering for just a hobby. Ive always done wires and such for my ham radio hobby. I recently broke one of my radios antenna connector by dropping the radio on the ground. I was mad and excited at the same time as this was my first attempt at a "real" repair. I orderd some amtech 559 and solder wick to use with my weller we1010na from you guys. I ordered the replacment part and began my repair, unfortunatley i was unable to repair the device and broke the board. This did discourage me at first but i have since then ordered a few practice kits for learning to solder and i have told myself to not give up. Thank you for these videos because someone like me with no experience with electronic repair can watch them and get the confidence they need to pick the iron up.
I have learned since then that a hot air station would have worked better for the repair i was attempting.

When it comes to ipads and iphones I rarely ever see you not finding the fault! Awesome job
awesome!!! finding a short is very hard but you find it very easy with the right tools hope i have the right tools for my job. thank you for sharing sir.
you're great as always! from "Ethiopia, Africa"
Nice one. I really did not know about testing a hot board can still show shorts, and also, did not know about the coil. I'll surely use this on my diagnosis from now on. Thank you, man!
I like the happiness on face when you fix your job love from India..
Learn something new in every video. Thank you for making these videos.
Patience is always rewarding 👍🏼
So much knowledge in the repair field that you're sharing with us all.
U r like a teacher for me I Lorne so many things from Ur videos tnx
Love the thermal cam and the short injector
Nice process to find the shorted component, thanks for teaching us
Just bought one of the voltage injection tools from your site a few days ago. Can't wait to start using it. Thanks for the great videos and knowledge. Keep up the good work!
great job! thermal cam is a priceless tool in electronic repair industry!
Great repair. Lots of experience showed.
Wow! Very good repair video. Voltage injection at the right location certainly makes all the difference. Thanks alot
E bravo ad alexuccio! Complimenti ! Bel lavoro
Good Job again alex. Thanks for the beautiful videos.
This is awesome video clip. I love it because I've learned from video how to diagnose. Thank you much for sharing.
Thanks for the video , very nice to share your experience with us ! God bless you 🕊
Super useful to show tracing the actual bad component versus the bait. I would have been focusing on the diode in error.
Good day Alex, thank you for demonstrating how you use alcohol to point out the shorted component.
He didn't "saved the world from complaints" this time(OG fans will understand), but still managed to do an awesome job🙂
And the smile on his face when he fixes something, it's priceless, bringing positive vibes to all of us who can relate
Always amaze by this man there's no broken gadget he can't fix, With a right tool and lot of experience great job sir ♥️♥️

Nice video to learn from... job well done... as someone said already... the knowledge you share is priceless !
Nice work sir , it’s always awesome to see you work and how you find different ways for no touch and no power sometimes they could be coming from the same place !
you are the master in this, is such an honor to learn from you!
My wife asks me why I watch your videos when I'm never going to do electronics repairs (I'm in IT, BTW). I just find your videos very interesting.
Haha, same here 😂
تشخيص جيد للمشكلة ، استمر ✔️
Once again you show why your one of the best
U work so confident and I love the technics
Great job as always. Hope the family is well.
I like your thermal cam great work
Great fix! Very nice technique removing the cap.

Awesome ✌🏻✌🏻✌🏻
When will you fix your thermal camera stand🤔🤔🤔
Woah! Nicely done.
Super Alex! He's wearing a superman shirt. 💗
Another awesome repair. Thank you master. Very useful tips. It's funny to see you use alcohol to detect the bad component 👍. Greetings from Portugal.
Always learning something new
my favorite RUclips channel
Thanks for all what you doing to teaching people.💐
good video alex, you would have tried rosin for technicians who do not have the budget to buy a thermal camera, to see if that type of tool really works, best regards and blessings
Insane troubleshooting skills👍
Hello always watching and support to your channel....
Good job alex you have done a great job. You are my inspiration. i have learn a lot of things from you thank you..GOD bless you
Really thanks for sharing your knowledge
شكرا بكل معنى الكلمه... فكره تتبع المشكله عبقريه
Thank you for sharing these videos! So informative!
Great job. Real fine detective routine. I'm stunned how bad caps apple is using. For regular non-smd capacitors we have different classes, with smd you cant even know the manufacturer.
Third hand, I have heard this before. I am looking for one LOL. Pleasure to watch.
Great video very skilled work 👏🙂
Best videos are coming from you Alex Thanks for sharing it.
Amazing work Alex 👍🏼 God bless
“Don’t test boards when they’re hot” got it! Can’t believe that actually makes a difference and causes a short wow lol
Love the injection voltage technique
Great work once again.
Yes, awesome repair!
Great instructional video as always.
One question on my side : are you limiting curent when you inject voltage on the board ? And if yes, how do you fix the maximum curent injected ? BR from France.
Learnt so many things in this video... Thank you 😍
visual inspection is one of the key to success
Nice find, I had a screen here today like that, so thank you for confirming about the screen.
Hot cap short! Awesome information
Amazing work!!

Nice work but caused the cap to go bad ?
An amazing video again good job alex
Good job Alex
Do you exclusively recommend aluminum tape over capton tape? I ask because I notice you only carry aluminum tape in your store.
