Video misses a lot of issues.
For one the fact you get the same elo regardless of who you are facing. Instead of less or more depending on the level of opponent. Makes the current system extremely broken and leveling feels almost pointless. Basically CSGO matchmaking with a new skin.
Secondly enticements. There should be extra rewards for leveling and reaching certain milestones. With even cash or prizes at higher ranks.
Thirdly there’s currently no stats whatsoever. I’m sure they will be adding them back through a monthly fee like before but it’s a glaring issue and you should be able to see everybody’s stats from the lobby as well as their profile like you can in real sports. Hell even some career worthy highlights would be dope af.
Reality is Premier should be the paid mode of CS2. 10 bucks a month or 100 a year. Intrusive anti cheat, and all the works. It would sell like hotcakes. If they really don’t want people using outside services then give us what we expect to have and then outdo yourself to lift CS2 to the stratosphere.
Counter Strike could be so much bigger than it is if they actually gave a damn. Sadly they don’t. Imagine having a massively played and spectated professional esport in your hands and doing nothing but the minimum with it. Come on Valve!

cs2 is already a paid game, you're saying add a monthly fee to the main competitive game mode on it? what a way to lose ~90% of the player base

@@luuniel Its not paid, its 100% free. 15 dollars for prime is like a Starbucks coffee and a donut. Theres literally 50 game modes including a competitive matchmaking mode already accessible. We are talking about one mode specifically that you pay for with stats, leaders boards, prizes, tournaments, and that give you a path to become sponsored and pro. Nobody would leave the game because of that. In fact more people would come in as its what everybody that plays the game competitively has been asking for

i tried to play competitive with a no prime friend, the game didnt let me as he wasnt allowed to play competitive modes, so the "free" version is more like a demo really.
also remember, not everyone lives in the US or get paid in dollars, 15 dollars is actually quite a substantial amount here were i live, wich the minimum salary that most jobs will pay for is about $270/month @@TriWaZe

also, my point is mainly that asking for a monthly fee to pay the competitive ranked mode of a competitive paid game would hardly push the casual player base away from it, wich would reduce its relevance overall cause much smaller numbers@@TriWaZe
