    As of the 23rd, the forecast temperature for Brisbane on Christmas day 2024 is expected to be 30°c. In the late nineties, Brisbane had a 42°c Christmas day. Since then, we have never had a hot Christmas lunch. We look forward to more of your videos in 2025. Merry Christmas. Cheers

    Thanks for taking the time to create this video. It is interesting to see the United Nations information panel that gets attached to most videos on this topic. It states that "....Human activities have been the main driver of climate change, primarily due to the burning of fossil fuels...." That statement is crazy !! What about the warm temperatures that ended the ice age thousands of years ago? How would the UN expert explain the high CO2 levels found in ancient ice bubbles? And what about the plant and animal fossils found in rocks from the Antarctic region? I wasn't here 100 million years ago, but I'm guessing that humans weren't burning much coal and oil around that time. The warming back then was probably caused by dinosaur farts because they didn't have access to the BillGates food additives.

    • @hayloft3834
      @hayloft3834 3 часа назад

      It would appear that you're not much of an expert either the Ice Age only started about 2.5 million years ago.
      Perhaps it may have finished about the time Noah built the ark.

    Craig, as a boy in the late 60s i am sure one summer afternoon returning home from the pool on East Boundary road, East Bentleigh, around 1pm the radio report declared 114° F.
    I recall that hot day well as my rubber thongs got a little stuck to the hot melting bitumen in my old street.

    last really hot summer i recall was early noughties... i had a postie. i was riding around at midnight with a pair of stubbies and a fluoro vest.
    or, the longest duration of hot days, at least.
    42 aint bad... as long as you get a chance to get used to it and its consistent.... but a 42 day followed by a 15 degree day followed by drizzle for a day followed by another 38+ day? thats a bit hard to take...

    The hottest day around Christmas was Boxing day a while back.
    It was 46°C due to the strong Norwesterly wind blowing from the hot inland.
    Temperature depends on a variety of factors.
    Whether the wind is blowing off the land or ocean.
    Clouds etc, etc.

    Dumbest thing i ever saw; i was renting a house, the hot water system was cranked right up, on the outlet pipe was a cold water mixer, which cooled the hot water. Meanwhile, the water at the kitchen sink was not hot enough to wash up the meal dishes and a jug had to be boiled to properly clean them. Luckily, we live in the tropics because a HOT shower was out of the question. Oh, how we've gone backwards in just a couple of short decades.

    • @alanjm1234
      @alanjm1234 2 дня назад +1

      It's called a tempering valve. They're there to prevent people from scalding themselves in the shower. Unfortunately they're often set far too low. They can usually be adjusted though.
