    Meanwhile in Canada...
Calgarys Top Producing Racing RE/MAX Realtor Bryon Howard was shooting a video for his running club at Lake Louise - when he found himself at the tail end of an avalanche where Mountains & Snow make for Heart Racing Run for Bryon.
Bryon & a group of about 300 from Strides Running Store in Calgary & Canmore are committing to do a December Running Streak - Running at least 1 mile everyday in December.
The Run Streak began as a way of encouraging runners to stay active over the busy holiday Season ... burn off Holiday Calories and fight the winter blues. The Streak is also an annual Fund Raiser for Calgary Food Bank. Last year “Streakers” proudly raised 420 lbs of food & $1110 in cash.
Off course - Running safely is the #1 goal of The Strides Streak!
On this day, Friday, Dec 6 - Bryon had planned a slow easy run in a beautiful area not far from The Fairmount Chateau Lake Louise in Banff National Park, Alberta, Canada. He ended up doing one pretty quick interval.

I was just shooting a video for my running club ... Strides Running Store here in Calgary ... as part of our #StridesRunStreak. Big group of us committed to run every day in December with the goal of reducing holiday calories, fighting winter blues, and collecting and donating for Calgary Food Bank. I was 'lucky' to capture it all on video ... by pressing 'record' just two seconds prior to it coming down.

Yes .. a pretty spectacular video ... I was just shooting the video ... and then looked to the left and there it was. It all settled seconds after I shut the camera off. A reminder of how fast things can happen in nature. Bryon

Were you at the toe ( delta ) of the glacier on the Six Glaciers trail?..is it mount Fairview that the slide came from?
Just trying to get my bearings.

Yes ... not quite at the toe ... but just 100 to 200 m past the Ice / Water Fall. Yes ... I've been told that it was Mount Fairview where the slide came from. Bryon

      @@TheHowardTeamYYC Thanks and stay safe..
We witnessed 11 small avys at the end of the trail past the tea house this past summer, cornices were giving way to gravity..quite the site.

There is no way he could have been in danger cos he was on a flat surface, but seeing an avalanche that close is rare, but nothing here really

You got it! ... well ... you can get buried being on a flat surface ... it's what comes off the mountain ... and lands on the flat surface. ... but this was just a big powder cloud coming at me. News loves an Avalanche! :-) Spectacular capture though, eh? Bryon
